*Alison's POV*
I woke up to the sound of rain pelting violently against the roof of the house. Ugh, of course. To be honest, I don't even know why I'm surprised, rain is constant here. Confusion flooded through me as I noticed that I was in an unfamiliar room. I quickly sat up in bed and felt a wave of relief as I realized that I was in one of the guest rooms. But why am I in here, though?
"Why am I in here?" I asked out loud. Out of nowhere, the events that happened last night slammed into me like a truck, making me gasp in surprise.
He pulled away breathlessly and gazed into my eyes with that same lustful look in his eyes. I've seen lust in his eyes before, but it wasn't like this; it was usually mixed in with love, protection, compassion, and happiness. However, his eyes held nothing but lust.
I internally shivered at the memory and just as I thought it was over, more of it came flooding into my head like a fast-moving stream of water.
"Mine," he growled possessively and that was when I realized that this wasn't Jake I mean it was him, but not the human him; it was the shapeshifter side of him and I don't think I liked it.
I felt anxiety starting to brew in the pits of my stomach and it gradually began to get worse as more memories filtered my mind. It was like they were on loop; I couldn't figure out how to make them stop.
"Jake, stop," I whispered, but my voice was futile at this point. I had to figure out a way to snap him out of it. His grip on my wrists tightened as I tried to fight against him.
"MY MATE," he roared and I let out a small scream.
"No, stop," I whimpered out as I gripped my head in between both of my hands.
Pain sprouted in my new and I started to wonder if he either bit me or somehow gripped onto my neck. My mind was slowly starting to turn blank.
"Jacob, you're hurting me!" I yelled out as hot tears began streaming down my face. It was as if something was switched off in his body, the shaking stopped and the lustful look left his eyes and was replaced with the regular look of love, compassion, and protection. His eyes were back to their chocolate colored orbs.
"Gah!" I yelled out and stuffed my face into a pillow. I swear it felt like my brain was going to explode as the memories looped like a broken record player. Tears began to brim in my eyes as the image of Jake's confused look engraved itself into my mind. Did he really not know what happened? He looked genuinely confused, but at the same time, maybe I was just imagining the whole thing. Am I overthinking this? I groaned as a few tears slipped from my eyes and I angrily wiped them away. Who could I talk to about this? Maybe I could talk to one of the girls about this. Then again, I'm not too sure if Rachel would be too happy hearing that her little brother almost lost control, but I wouldn't want her to hear this from anyone else cause then I'd feel guilty for not telling her about it. I groaned again and sat at the edge of the bed with my head in my hands. My head snapped up at the sound of the door knob jiggling before the door opened, revealing a half-asleep Jake.
"Good morning beautiful," he said with a tired half smile. If my heart wasn't beating so fast out of fear, I'd be turned on at the sound of his sleep-filled husky voice. The half smile he had on his face vanished and was replaced with a look of confusion and concern.
"What's wrong? Have you been crying?" he furrowed his eyebrows and took a step closer, making me involuntarily flinch. My hands automatically came up to my cheeks and I silently cursed to myself as I felt dried tear streaks on them.
"I'm fine I uh think I need to take a walk," I murmured as I got up. I made my way to the door, but was stopped by Jake's hand that grasped onto my arm. I hissed in pain as his hand made contact with the hand-shaped bruise on my arm.
