I groaned as the sun's light hit my eyes. The smell of pancakes invaded my nostrils, making my mouth water. I got out of bed with my pajamas still on and made my way to the kitchen to see everyone sitting at the table eating breakfast in their pajamas.
"Morning everyone," I greeted as I sat down.
"Morning Ali," mom said as she set a plate of pancakes in front of me along with a glass of orange juice. I grabbed a fork and dug in.
"I thought you both had to work today," I said with a confused look.
"Well, your mother and I decided to take the day off and spend the day together as a family," dad said as he sipped from his glass or orange juice.
"Oh, that sounds great, so what're we doing?" I questioned as I placed a piece of pancake in my mouth. "Well I was thinking that we could go to the mall and afterwards go out to eat for lunch," mom said thoughtfully.
"I think that's a good idea," I said shoveling more pancake in my mouth.
"Yeah me too," Dylan agreed.
"Alright so after breakfast, we'll all get dressed," mom said. After breakfast, we all went up to our rooms and got dressed. I hopped in the shower and let the warm water run down my body. After my shower, I put on my outfit for the day.

I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs. plopping myself on the couch as I waited for everyone else to come down. After about 10 minutes, everyone came down dressed and ready to go.
"Alright looks like we're all ready to go," dad said and we all nodded. After locking the door behind us, we headed to the car and piled in. Once we were all buckled in, we were off to the mall. When we got there, we all got out and headed inside. The first store we went to was JcPenny. Dad and Dylan went to the men's section of the store, while mom and I went to the women's section. We were currently looking around at the earrings they had.
"Oh, these earrings look so cute!" I gushed as I showed mom the earrings.
"Oh my, they ARE cute! They're beautiful even," she gasped. I ended up buying the earrings along with a cute off-the-shoulder top I saw.
