After about 10 minutes of driving, Jake pulled into a parking lot. I looked out the window and noticed a spinning Ferris Wheel in the distance.

"We're going to the fair?" I asked excitedly.
"Yeah, it's in town until next week, so I thought I would take you. I hope I wasn't being cliche when I decided to come here as our first date," he chuckled as he scratched the back of his neck.
"Ha-ha, don't worry. I find it cute that you decided to bring me here," I giggled and kissed his cheek. Jake hopped out the truck and jogged over to my side and opened my door for me. He offered me his hand and I gladly accepted it as I stepped out. Jake intertwined our fingers together as we started making our way to the entrance where we could buy our tickets. Much to my dismay, Jake paid for both our tickets AND wristbands.
"Jake, I wanted to pay," I whined as we were deciding which ride to get on first.
"Well too bad. I wanted to be a gentleman, so you'll just have to deal with it," he teased and pressed a kiss to my hair. I playfully pouted and continued walking. A cool breeze blew against my the back of my hair, making me shiver. I guess wearing a dress wasn't a good idea. Jake must've noticed because he took off his jacket and wrapped it around my shoulders. I smiled up at him in thanks and slid my arms throught the sleeves, welcoming the scent of pine needles and axe cologne. Jake wrapped an arm around my shoulders and started walking around to pick out a ride to get on.
"Oh, let's get on that one," I squealed excitedly, making Jake chuckle. The ride was in the shape of a giant claw that rocked back and forth. I looked at it with big eyes as it swung high in the sky.
"Are you sure you want to get on that? We don't have to if you don't want to," Jake said.
"I'm positive, now come on let's go!" I tugged on Jake's arm which made him chuckle and follow after me. We were fastened into our seats securely and I was eagerly bouncing in my seat, waiting for the ride to start. As soon as I felt the ride start to move, I yelled in excitement and I heard Jake laugh at my excitement. I felt the ride start to slowly swing in a back and forth motion. The back and forth motion started to swing higher and higher making me scream and grasp onto Jake's hand. I felt so much pressure on my stomach from the wind that was created from the ride. Good thing I didn't eat anything before I got on this ride. I could hear Jake yelling in excitement over the wind, making me giggle. After about five minutes, the ride slowly came to a stop. Once the ride operator unbuckled us, we both hopped off and made our way to the exit. My head was spinning like crazy and I almost lost my balance until Jake wrapped his arms around my waist to steady me.
"You good?" he chuckled as he steadied me.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just a little dizzy that's all," I laughed as I grasped onto his shoulder for support.
"How about we get some cotton candy and sit down for a bit before we get on another ride," he offered and my mood brightened at the mention of cotton candy. Jake kept an arm around my waist as we started walking around to look for a concession stand that sold cotton candy. When we finally found one, we both walked up and ordered our cotton candy. Before Jake could take out his wallet, I quickly handed the man a five dollar bill and he gave me my change. Once we got our cotton candy, we sat down on a nearby bench and dug in.
