CHAPTER 44

*Jake's POV* 

I woke up feeling something lying on my chest. In a daze, I slowly opened my eyes and looked down to see Ali sound asleep. I smiled softly and gently ran my hand down the side of her face, relishing at the smoothness of her skin. Her hair was splayed out across my chest in a dark chocolate halo. Her plump lips were slightly parted as light snores escaped from her mouth. Her long lashes laid delicately onto her cheekbones. She looked so beautiful and breathtaking. I gently kissed her forehead and felt her start to stir.

*Alison's POV*

I felt myself lying on something soft and warm to the touch. Something warm ran across the skin of my face, making me sigh in content. I snuggled closer to the warmth with a small smile on my face. I felt a pair of warm lips on my forehead and I started to stir. I slowly opened my eyes to see that I was lying on a bare chest. I looked up seeing Jake's handsome face smiling down at me.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty," he chuckled and kissed my cheek, making a small blush appear on my cheeks.

"Good morning, handsome," I laughed back, "How're you feeling?" I asked as I brushed his hair away from his forehead.

"I'm still feeling a bit soar, but I feel a lot better than I did yesterday," he told me.

"Glad to hear it!" I smiled and gently kissed his forehead.

"Uh, I think you missed a spot," he pointed towards his lips, making me giggle. I gently pressed my lips to his and just as I was about to pull away, his arm snaked its way around my waist and brought me closer to him. I quickly pulled away from him and whined when he tried kissing me again.

"Jake, I have bad breath!" I groaned as I struggled to pull away from him.

"Babe, I don't care," he laughed and proved his point by pecking me on the lips. 

"Jacob, your injuries!" I gasped as I pulled away from him, making him groan in protest.

"Ali, no need to worry. I'm fine I promise. I'm just a little soar. Actually, I think this cast can come off now even," he grinned while I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Hm, yeah sure. Well, I still think you should take it easy. Anyways, I'm going to wash up and then make you some breakfast," I smiled and before he could protest, I got out of his grip and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I've been over at Jake's house enough times to know where he keeps everything as far as body wash and everything. I took off my clothes and hopped in the shower. I sighed in content as the warm water ran down my body. I looked around for some body wash and the first thing I saw was a bottle of axe soap. Eagerly grabbing the bottle, I slathered the soap all over my body. Once that was rinsed off, I grabbed a towel and wrapped it tightly around my body. I mentally face-palmed myself when I realized that I forgot to bring a change of clothes with me. Oh god, the last thing I need is for Jake to see me NAKED. I peeked my head out from the bathroom and checked to make sure it was clear. When I saw no sign of Jake, I quickly ran out the bathroom and back into his room. Thankfully, he was no longer in his bed. Then again, he could walk in on me at any moment!  With that thought in mind, I quickly changed into one of Jake's shirts. I let the smell of pine needles and axe cologne flood over my body, making me silently giggle to myself. Ah, he smells so good!! I felt a pair of muscular arms wrap themselves around me, making me freeze. 

"Well, you sure were quick to take the cast off," I teased.

"I tried to tell you," I didn't have to turn around to know that he was smirking. 

"It's quite funny that you look better in that shirt than I do," Jake chuckled and buried his face in between my neck and shoulder. I turned myself around in his arms and wrapped my arms around his neck.
