*Alison's POV*
I opened my eyes to see that it was raining once again. Shocker. I sighed and got out of bed to take a shower. After my shower, I changed into some random clothes and and trudged down the steps. I plopped down on the couch and stared at the blank TV.
Ali's outfit:
I can't believe Jake broke his promise. I guess this is what I get for opening my heart to someone who I thought I could trust. My heart feels as if there were a giant big hole right in the middle. I heard footsteps and noticed Dylan from the corner of my eye walking towards me.
"Hey sis," he said once he sat down next to me.
"Hey," I said in a monotone voice.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Nothing," I said in the same voice.
"Look, I'm not stupid. I can tell when you're lying," Dylan said.
"Well, I'm not lying," I stated.
"Alright something is bothering you and I want to know what it is," Dylan stated.
"Why do you care?" I crossed my arms and looked down at my lap.
"Because I'm your brother and I don't want to see my baby sister upset," he wrapped a comforting arm around my shoulders.
"I told Jake about what Derek did to me and Jake ended up making a promise, which he failed to keep. Dylan, this is the second time that I've opened my heart out to only have it broken," I said. Tears built up in my eyes and I rested my head on Dylan's shoulder.
"Well, Jake's a jerk for doing that to you. Ali, you deserve so much more than that. Don't waste your tears on a guy like him," Dylan rubbed my shoulder in a comforting way.
"I think I'm going to head up to my room," I sighed, no longer wanting to talk about this and rose from the couch
"Alright and I'm sorry about what happened," Dylan said and I gave him a small smile. I trudged upstairs to my room and lied across the bed, staring blankly at the wall.
******************
A knock on the door broke me away from my wandering thoughts. The door opened and mom came in, sitting down on the bed.
"Dinner's ready if you want any," she offered.
"No thanks," I mumbled.
"Are you sure? It's chicken alfredo, you're favorite," she rested a hand on my shoulder. I didn't say anything in return and continued staring at the wall. She sighed and walked out the room, shutting the door softly. I don't even understand what I did to deserve this numbing pain that I'm feeling.
**TRIGGER WARNING**
I walked to the bathroom and started rummaging through the cabinet. My gaze locked on a pair of scissors. I slowly pulled them out and played with them in my hands. Should I do this? Maybe I should put them back. Am I making a smart decision?
I sighed and slid the scissors across my arm creating a cut. I flinched at the pain and watched as blood started to ooze out my arm. This is what I deserve. When the pain was gone, I went ahead and created five more cuts. After cleaning them, I changed into my pajamas and crawled into bed, wishing for this endless pain to stop.
Poor Ali she doesn't deserve this. Sorry if the chapter seemed depressing I just wanted you guys to see how Jake's absence starts to affect her. If that small cutting scene triggeredanyone, I'm so sorry, I don't want to make any of my readers feel uncomfortable!!
