A couple of weeks have gone by and a few things happened. The newborn vampire army was still developing and the Cullens and the pack have been keeping a sharp eye out for any stray vampires. I felt bad because Sam had the boys doing almost double the amount of patrolling that they normally do. Quil imprinted on Claire, Emily's niece, and I got to meet Jake's sister, Rachael, who is also Paul's imprint. It was currently Friday and I just got home from school. I headed up to my room and plopped on my bed. I heard the sound of my phone vibrating in my pocket and I took it out to see it was a text from Jake.
Jake: Hey, beautiful ;)
I smiled like a goofball and responded back.
Me: Hey handsome <3
Jake: Whatcha up to?
Me: not much wbu?
Jake: just texting my beautiful girlfriend
Me: you're such a goof!
Jake: yeah, but I'm YOU'RE goof ;)
Me: xD
Jake: anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the beach with me
Me: yeah sounds great!
Jake: Okay, I'll be there in 30 mins and don't forget your bathing suit ;)
Me: sure thing!!
Jake: Alright babe, <3 u!
Me: <3 you, too
I glanced at the clock, seeing that it was almost three o'clock. I headed to my closet and started rummaging around for my bathing suit. Once I found the one I was looking for, I changed out of my clothes and slid on the bathing suit. I went ahead and put on a tropical sundress that stopped a bit above the knee.

I put on a bit of lip gloss, water-proof mascara, and waterproof eyeliner. By the time I was finished getting myself together, I heard the sound of an engine coming from the front. I did a quick double check in the mirror and trotted downstairs. I made sure I had my phone and locked the door behind me. There stood Jake leaning against his motorcycle with his arms folded across his chest. He was wearing a white V-neck that clung to his body and black swim trunks. A large grin spread across his face and he opened out his arms. I ran over to him and jumped into his arms while locking my arms around his neck. I giggled as he swung me around in a circle. He set me down and tucked a piece of stray hair behind my ear.
"You look so beautiful it's heartbreaking," he whispered softly in my ear. I blushed a bright red and looked at the ground. Jake put a finger under my chin and tilted my head up so that I could look into his chocolate brown orbs.
"You look beautiful when you blush," he smirked as he brushed his thumb against my cheek.
"Ha-ha okay now let's go before my blushing gets worse," I teased. He laughed and pecked my lips. We both hopped on the motorcycle and wrapped my arms tightly around Jake's torso as he sped off. After about 5 minutes, we slowed down to a stop and the smell of salt water instantly filled my nostrils.
"Well, we're here," Jake announced, helping me off the bike. Jake grabbed my hand, intertwined our fingers together, and sat us down on a nearby rock. I looked out at the sky and was immediately blown away.

"Wow, that looks so beautiful," I murmured quietly.
"Eh I've seen prettier," Jake replied. I looked over at him to see that he was already looking at me. His eyes held happiness, love, protection, and care. I immediately thought back to the conversation that me and Emily had about imprinting.
"It's like you always stay by their side like you're glued to them. It's kind of like a soulmate thing," Emily explained.
"So, you're stuck with them forever and ever?" I asked.
"Yup, that's right," she clarified.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt Jake nudge me. I looked over at him to see that he was looking at me with amusement.
"Are you okay?" he chuckled.
"Do you regret imprinting on me?" I blurted out and the smile quickly fell of his face to be replaced by a look of confusion.
"Wait, what?" he tilted his head slightly, making me mentally giggle at how cute he looked when he did that.
"Do you regret imprinting on me?" I repeated.
"Of course not I mean what made you think that?" he asked shocked.
"I don't know I mean there are tons of prettier girls in the world, but you end up imprinting on me, an average girl. I just don't feel good enough for you." I said as I looked down at the sand. Jake softly grabbed my chin and tilted my head up so that I could look at him.
"Ali, you're the most beautiful, funniest, and caring girl on the planet. Don't let anyone tell you anything different. I love everything about you: your beautiful smile, your long chocolate colored hair, your adorable doe-shaped eyes, and most of all, your blush whenever you get nervous or embarrassed. I have no regrets imprinting on you whatsoever," Jake confessed as he looked at me with so much intensity, it felt as if my heart would burst. Just hearing those words made my mood brighten. I thought back to what Emily said.
"I'm pretty sure that even if Jake didn't imprint on you, he'd still love you no matter what. I remember his dad saying how happy you make Jake and this was before he even phased," she assured me.
"I love you more than you could imagine," he murmured as he cupped my face in his warm hands. He crashed his lips against mine and started kissing me hard, but passionately. I wrapped my arms around his neck as his arms slithered around my waist. I felt his tongue glide along my bottom lip, begging for entrance. I kept my mouth shut, deciding to tease him. He growled in frustration and nibbled on my bottom lip, causing me to gasp. He took this as his opportunity and slid his tongue into my mouth, exploring every inch. I ran my fingers through his soft black hair on the back of his head, making him moan. His lips moved even faster against mine if that were even possible. His hands gripped onto my waist as he pressed our bodies together. We both pulled away panting for air and had smiles on our faces. He pressed his lips against mine once more and enveloped me into his famous bone-crushing hug.
"Race you to the water," I said and broke free from his arms as I sprinted out to the water.
"Hey, no fair!" Jake called out as he ran behind me. I squealed when he caught up to me and lifted me up onto his shoulders. I spent the rest of the day at the beach with the one boy that I truly love.
