Christopher was laying on his bed, facing away from me. Angel closed the door behind me, but Christopher didn’t budge. I pulled down my jeans and my shirt, not bothering to do the same with my underwear. I shifted into my black wolf and walked over to him, placing myself on the ground, paw over my face, yelping once. He turned over, his eyes red and puffy, he had cried.

‘I’m sorry Muffin,’ he whispered. ‘I thought you knew.’

‘I’m sorry too. I didn’t know,’ I said to him.

‘You are one gorgeous wolf,’ he whispered, petting me on my head, scratching behind my ear.

I licked his hand and got to my feet. I bent down stretching my front paws and sticking my tail in the air. That was me asking him to play, he dove onto me and we started to wrestle. I was stronger being a wolf and him being a human. He opened his balcony door and pointed to the forest. He pulled off his t-shirt, not embarrassed in the least, moving on to his trousers, I averted my gaze, panting a little feeling the need to bite my lip, but I couldn’t now I was a wolf. He dove over the wooden balcony and I heard him shift in mid air, tearing his underwear to shreds like I had allowed mine to be. I stepped towards the edge and saw him standing there, his amber eyes on me, beckoning me down. I got a few steps back and leaped over the balcony, landing on my feet with ease. Christopher ran away, into the forest. I followed him, keeping up easily now my leg was fully healed. I was certainly faster and more agile. He was stronger and more intimidating. Soon I heard water run, I ran over and found a little stream. With the kissing and running and crying, I had really been thirsty, so this was perfect. Christopher joined me and drank as well. When we were both fulfilled he pounced me, without warning. We wrestled, gently biting each others ears or legs, I even grabbed his tail once. After some time, we were just laying there, enjoying each other again. It was nice, feeling his warm skin against mine.

‘My mother want’s to know if you would like to stay for dinner,’ he suddenly said.

‘Ehm.. sure.. I’ll have to call Nana,’ I answered.

We got to our feet, slowly walking over to his packhouse.

‘I would like you to come live with me. There have been reports of vampires, I want you safe,’ he said, just before we reached his house.

I was blown away by his words, that I forgot to answer. He went around a corner, leaving me in the backyard, looking at his balcony. After a few moments, he appeared there and tossed me one of his own t-shirts and a pair of sweatpants. I didn’t argue, I went back into the treeline, changed and tossed the clothes on. He was waiting for me at the door.

‘It’s very sudden,’ I whispered.

‘I want to make sure you are safe,’ he said.

‘Are you alright with me staying at my Nana’s house, with you sleeping over?’ I asked, turning to look him in the eye.

‘Can’t you come live here? It’s much more safe, we have warriors that can keep you safe every moment of the day,’ he said, I could see the worry in his eyes.

‘Honey, I’d love to be with you day and night, really. But my family wouldn’t like it, they are humans, they don’t do it like that. It’s very different,’ I whispered.

‘I’ll be with you every night!’ he said, his eyes were angry.

I stepped away from his hands, he reached for me, but I stepped away even further, I didn’t want him angry with me.

‘Dawn, come here,’ he said.

‘Not while you’re angry,’ I whispered.

‘I’m not angry with you..’ he sighed, dropping his shoulders in defeat.
