Five thirty I went up to shower, I took my time and really just relaxed in the shower. Even though I was trying to relax, I was starting to get nervous. I had only had about two dates with Christopher, what if I didn’t do it right? I never had been to dinner with anyone, not like this. I dried myself and put on my dress and other clothing. I sat down in front of the mirror, Christopher had placed in our bedroom specially for me. I still had my towel around my hair, I put it on my shoulders, so my dress wouldn’t get too wet. I blow dried my hair until every bit was dry and made two thin braids on the sides of my head and pulled them back into a high ponytail, so you could still see the two braids in my hair. I applied light makeup and checked my phone for the time. It was a quarter to seven, I must have been under the shower for longer than I thought. I checked myself once more in the mirror and I was pleased. When I got downstairs, I saw Angel just walk into the living room, she appeared to be crying.

‘Ange..’ I wanted to call her back, but Gabby stopped me.

‘I’ll take care of her, have fun on your date,’ she said, walking past me.

She shot me a wink, making me smile. Christopher came down the stairs, I wondered if he had changed his clothes in his office, because I hadn’t seen or heard him. He was dressed in a nice white dress shirt and black trousers. He also had a black jacket, draped over his arm.

‘Looking sharp, Sir,’ I said, teasing.

‘Looking beautiful miss, might I ask you to accompany me to my car?’ he asked.

‘Please,’ I said, holding out my arm.

He swung his jacket around his shoulders and offered his arm for me to hold. I took it, a little shy and we walked over to his car. During the trip, we were both a little quiet, he played with my fingers and kept shooting me sweet smiles. I noticed the car of Daniel and Kayleigh, driving behind us, they would keep us safe tonight. We arrived at a nice restaurant, where Christopher helped me out of the car and he led me inside. The man who greeted us came across as very friendly, dressed in a black tuxedo and he had a slight Italian accent. He showed us our table and put two menu’s on our table.

‘Could I bring you some refreshments?’ he asked.

‘Yes, I would like some orange juice, please,’ I told him.

‘A coca cola for me please,’ Christopher said.

‘Coming right up,’ the man said and he walked away.

‘How are you feeling?’ Christopher asked me.

‘A lot better than in the mornings,’ I said.

‘It’ll get better,’ he said, smiling at me.

‘Do you think I should tell Rhea and David about being pregnant?’ I asked him.

We hadn’t told them yet, unsure about their reply. It felt so normal already, being with my incredible mate and pregnant with his baby, but they would certainly think it’s too soon.

‘They would certainly find out in a month or so,’ Christopher said.

‘How so?’ I asked totally oblivious.

‘Well, I bet they’ll be at your birthday next month and then, I’m sure, they’ll notice your bump which will be a lot bigger then.

‘I almost forgot about that!’ I exclaimed.

The waiter came back with our drinks and a basket with garlic bread.

‘Thank you,’ I said.

‘Would you like to order now?’ the man asked.

‘We kind of forgot to watch the menu, give us a little longer,’ Christopher said.

‘As you wish,’ the man said and he went off to another table.

This time we actually did look at our menu’s and I finally made a choice about my food. I’d better enjoy it as long as I could.

‘Have you figured out what you would like to eat?’ Christopher asked me.

‘Yes, did you?’

He nodded and beckoned the waiter to come over.

‘Yes, have you decided?’ he asked, just as i started to nibble on a piece of bread.

‘I would like to have the Spaghetti Napolitana,’ Christopher said.

‘I’d like to have the salmon and spinach lasagne please,’ I told the waiter.

He nodded friendly and left towards the kitchen.

‘Do you want to invite a lot of friends and family?’ Christopher asked.

‘I would like to..’ A red flash passed by, behind Christopher.

‘Is something wrong?’ he asked.

‘No.. Sorry. I was distracted. I would like to invite Rhea, David and Nana. Other then them I don’t know many people, no friends at least.’

‘I never hear you about people back home, only ever your parents, don’t you have any other friends?’

‘No, I’ve always been quite solitary,’ I whispered, nibbling on another piece of bread.

‘That must have been hell,’ he whispered, I heard his shock seeping through his voice.

‘I never really thought about it,’ I muttered.

‘Is there anything you would like for a present?’ Christopher asked, clearly noticing my discomfort.

‘Not really, I have everything at my disposal and I have you. Besides you give me everything I ask for,’ I said.

‘But you never ask for anything, ever!’ he said, chuckling.

‘Maybe I just don’t need anything,’ I said, completely serious.

‘I’ll find something you’ll like,’ he said, with a smirk.

‘Just don’t make it too expensive. I’m feeling horrible as it is, not working for my food.’

‘You work the same as me, you are my personal assistant, bringing me refreshments and being my walking calendar,’ he said, chuckling again.

The waiter came back, putting two plates in front of us and we both ordered a new drink, which we had finished during our conversation. I started on my beautiful looking lasagne and it was delicious, Christopher was quiet for the first time ever during a meal, so I guess his food was good too. We ate in a comfortable silence for a while, but after some time, I started to feel a little uncomfortable. I would see the red flash several times, but tried not to show Christopher. He started to look a little uncomfortable too.

‘Are you alright?’ I asked him.

‘Yes, I’m fine Muffin. Are you enjoying your lasagna?’ he asked.

‘Yes, it’s very good, your food must be amazing though, you hardly ever shut up like this,’ I said, trying to lighten his mood.

‘It’s very nice, but I’m looking forward to dessert,’ he said, with a cheeky grin.

‘What’s for dessert?’

‘That’s all up to you,’ he said, taking another bite of his spaghetti.

Soon we were both done with our main course and we ordered another refreshment. In such a nice Italian place, I almost felt guilty for not drinking a glass of wine, but I couldn’t not while being pregnant. After a little while, to let the main course settle, the waiter came back and gave us a dessert menu. I soon knew what I wanted, they had a large selection of ice cream. The waiter came back to take our order and Christopher got the same thing as me. I excused myself with Christopher and went to the bathroom. Again the red flash came by, behind me. I turned quickly, but I didn’t see her. I hurried myself into the restrooms and did my business. When I came back to my table, I forgot all about my dessert, the woman in red, my birthday and my family. What I saw laying just before my dessert, took my breath away.

As I promised to my friend, a new chapter.. I hope you like it Cupcake :P
