"So that's it?" I asked as the tears streamed down my face. It can't be like this.
"Yes," the doctor sighed. "It is. You have a 15% chance of surviving, but we'll do all we can to increase the odds."
I broke down crying as my mom's arms wrapped around me.
"It's okay, Darling. Everything will be okay."
Long story short, my mom lied. Nothing's okay.
