"What is it? What do you want from me? Why haven't you given up, and why won't you just realize you should? Why are you still here after everything?"

"Are you honestly curious to know what I want?"

"Yes."

"I want you to be head-over-heels for me. I want you to love me so much it hurts. I want you to think of me to the point where you can't get me out of your head. I want to be your everything. After that? I want to leave. I want to walk away, unattached. I want to feel nothing, and I want you to miss me. I want you to ache because you don't have me anymore. I want you to miss me to the point where it's always there, at the back of your head. I want you to miss me so much that looking me in the eye is impossible without breaking even more because my eyes remind you of all the other times you've stared in them and seen the love that no longer exists."

"Look, it doesn't have to be like this. I know now that you were literally the only one who cared, and I love you for that."

"It does have to be like this. It's too late to go back; do you not realize that? You've done too much, and there's just too much history. We know what's going to happen before it even starts. Why would I want to put myself through this again? I want you to hurt like you hurt me, so that you can know why we can't happen again."

"Leave." The cold dead look in his eyes showed that now his walls were up, and you weren't going to get anywhere anymore. That was why I left when he told me too; it was useless to stay.
