TWO WEEKS LATER
FAITH POV: The beep of the heart monitor is slow in the background as the doctors talk to me.
"I'm afraid that no matter what we do, it's not going to fix the damage."
"Faith, the odds of him waking up are one in a million. You wouldn't want him to be going through more pain than he has to." says the other doctor. I stare at the breathing tube going down his throat.
"I just need some time to think everything over." I tell the doctors.
"Alright. Well, whenever you decide, make sure to tell us alright?" I nod as the doctors proceed to exit the room. I hold Tim's hand as I lay my head on the bed. I begin to doze off as Betty walks in.
"Hey, how are you holding up?" She says handing me a coffee.
"The doctors are still trying to get me to pull the plug. Betty, what do you think I should do?" I ask, turning to face her.
"I don't know. I mean, I hate seeing him like this, but he's been so up and down. I would hate to pull the plug where if we had just waited a day longer..." She says rubbing my back. I lay my head back down on the bed and begin to sob.
