I'm nothing, I've always been nothing. I can't do anything special or recognizable, and I have nothing besides anything I can get away with hiding. I have no family, I have no friends, I'm government property because my parents were fucking assholes...
"I-I had a bad dream" she said and I sighed and pulled her into my lap. Doug followed too, jumping on the bed and going to Erin's side of the bed.
"What happened?" I asked rubbing her back.
"It was one of the guys that ruined me, it felt too real" she whimpered. I shushed her and kissed the top of her head.
"They're not gonna see you ever again darling, if they try they'll have to go through me" I said and she smiled.
"But you're shy" I laughed and hugged her again.
"I'd do anything for you baby girl, tell me how your business plan is going" I said.
"Really good, and Mrs. Jenner said she could line up some investors for me" she said. "So I have to give my personal brand: what I'm about, how I got to who I am, and how it's gonna help me as a business person, then talk about what exactly my business is"
"I still can't believe that you hang out with the Kardashian-Jenner family almost every weekend" I said, getting out of bed with her in my arms. She curled up against my chest and smiled. I started walking downstairs so we wouldn't wake Erin up.
"Thanks to you, I just won Kylie over with my charming personality" I chuckled and set her on the kitchen counter. I found some ice cream and grabbed two spoons.
"Obviously, I'm pretty sure if I wasn't able to adopt you they would" I said and she laughed with me before taking a scoop of ice cream
"I'd kindly decline, this is my family by blood and by weirdness" I laughed. We talked until she felt better. She was on her road to recovery and it was going to take a while. I'm glad she's found friends that help her out as much as she lets them in, and she confides in me when she needs to.
"Should we try going back to sleep? It's seven in the morning" she said hopping off the counter.
"Nah, are you gonna hang out with Kendall today?" I asked.
"She's working today and so is Kylie, but I'm probably gonna go to the mall today. Christmas shopping" she said while we grabbed ingredients for breakfast.
"Ooh, what're you getting me?" I asked and she glared at me.
"Not telling, plus I already got your gift, wrapped it, and put it under the tree. I'm getting all the aunties and uncles gifts today. Well, besides Vic and Danielle I already got theirs too" she said placing a pan on the stove.
"Can you get a dress too? For Matt's wedding since it's coming up soon" I said.
"On it, what are you gonna do today pops?" She asked while I whisked together the pancake mix.
"Probably relax, eat some food, cuddle with Doug" I said. "I'm beat"
"I don't doubt it, almost six months of consecutive touring. I was only part of two of those and I'm tired" I chuckled.
"Well you have a long day, you feeling okay now?" I asked and she nodded.
"Yeah, thanks dad" she hugged me and went to her room. I smiled and looked at Doug.
"I think this is good you know, your sister is getting better" I said. "I'm talking to a dog"
