A Different Type of Family

Christmas

Frank marveled at the tree, he just picked up to surprise his daughter and five grand children.

"YAY!" the twins screamed out. "We like it Grandpa," the twins added. Frank nodded.

"Dad this is a perfect tree," Stef added as she put two car seats down and Sharon put the other one down. Frank nodded.

"Thank you," Stef added as Frank nodded. "We will decorate once Lena and the boys get here."

"Oh I got these today," Frank added as he gave her three first baby ornaments for the triplets.

"DAD. They are beautiful," Stef added as she held two blue ornaments and a pink one.

"They even have, their names and the date and time they were born," Sharon added.

Stef nodded as she eyed the box of the ornaments and smiled.

An hour later, Lena and the boys showed up. AJ was napping and Lena took him to the family room, where Stef set up two pack n plays. The triplets are now almost seven months old and AJ is eight months old. 

Sharon made hot chocolate for everyone, minus the triplets and AJ and baked cookies and put on some Christmas music. "Who wants to watch Santa Buddies and Santa Paws?"

"How about Arthur Christmas?" the twins asked.

"Sure," Sharon added as the twins and Ty settled themselves on the floor and watched the movie as the adults smiled. 

"So have you seen Mike?" Lena asked.

"No. It has been a few months," Stef added. "At work he ignores me."

"Oh," Lena added. "Maybe he is coming to his senses."

"I sure hope so," Stef added. The movie ended and it was time to decorate the tree.

The twins and Ty placed the ornaments on the bottom, while the adults did the top part. 

"The star is next," Stef added. "Well the twins want Ty to put the star up."

"Really?" Ty asked beaming. He nodded and eyed the twins. "Thanks."

The twins nodded as Stef picked Ty up and he put the Star on he tree. Everyone clapped.

"YAY!" the twins and Ty added. 

"Who wants hot chocolate and cookies?" Sharon asked as the twins and Ty raised their hands and they ran to the kitchen. 

"Tyson Daniel Adams! Walk," Lena added. He stopped and nodded.

"Brandon Michael and Bradley Mitchell," Stef added. They stopped as well and smiled.

"Sorry mommy," the twins added.

"Sorry mama," Ty added. The respective moms' nodded.

"Boys will be boys," Sharon added. 

"I guess," the women added as they enjoyed the hot chocolate and cookies.

They watched Santa Buddies and Santa Paws right after they were done with the hot chocolate and cookies and Frank brought out the popcorn. 

Hours later, the movies ended and it was late. "Lena? Why don't you stay?" Stef asked.

"I guess, it is late and all," Lena added. "I don't want to put you out?"

"Doll it is fine and we can put Ty and AJ in the big guest bedroom and you can have the other guest bedroom," Sharon added.

"Okay," Lena added. "I'll stay."
