It was a nice March day and the Adams Foster triplets were getting ready to start in their respective races. Callie was going to do the 400, 800, 1600, and 3200 meter races. Caleb and Callum did Track, but not XC. They liked Track better.
Lena cheered Callie on as she started the 400 meter and won with a time of 35 seconds and she smiled as Stef came late as usual. "What did I miss?" Stef asked as she joined her wife and sat down next to her as they shared a kiss between them.
"My baby buggy winning the 400 meter in 35 seconds flat," Lena added as Stef's eyes went wide.
"What?" Stef asked upset. "The traffic was terrible and long. Next time I will use my siren."
Lena had to chuckle at that. "Remember when Callie was really sick and you used your siren?" Lena asked. "Yup. I was more scared over our one year old daughter's very high ass fever and it sent me in overdrive."
"Mommy tiger," Lena added. "You always have been and always will be."
"Proud of it," she added as Caleb and Callum came to start their 400 meter run and the came in first and second. The moms' cheered them on. The P.A. system came over and someone was being called.
"Captain Adams Foster. Please report to coach Andrews," the announced added. Callie made a beeline for her coach. "What's up?"
"Lexi left home sick as did Owen and Oliver," he added. "We got Beth to be her replacement."
"Got it," Callie added. The moms' came over to see Callie.
"Captain Adams Foster?" they both asked. She eyed them in a smile.
"I found out today and I was going to tell you at dinner," she replied as they nodded.
"What's up?" her mama asked.
"Lexi, Owen and Oliver went home sick and Beth is her replacement," Callie added.
"The relay?" the moms' asked as Callie nodded.
"Good luck with that baby girl," Stef added as Callie eyed her mom in a mean look.
"She is good and will take Lexi's spot," Callie added. "She practices with us."
"Which reminds me. Armando just texted me and we have to drop off Jesus and Jude to see Mariana. So, Addison is taking, Caleb, Callum and you home in the Volvo. Mama has a board meeting after," Stef added.
"Got it mommy," Callie added as the moms' nodded as Callie started her other races.
"Too bad Jesus and Jude could not come to Anchor Beach?" Stef asked.
"Really Stef?" Lena asked. "They took the test twice. I can't change the rules."
"I know," Stef added. "They are adopted and can't go to the same school as their siblings."
"Well that is the foster care system," Lena added as Stef nodded.
The mom's left after the triplets completed their distance events and left since Lena had a board meeting and Stef had to take Jesus and Jude to see Mariana. She would not like to see Mariana, but she promised Armando.
Anchor Beach Boys and Girls teams both won in their gender groups.
"Who wants to celebrate?" Coach Andrews asked. He knew the Andrews Foster triplets could not come since they had to be at home. Only a few stayed as Addison Burke came for the triplets to take them home.
"Are you three ready?" Addison asked.
"Can we shower first?" the three asked. Addison nodded as the three ran to take showers.
