Lena eyed Callie as she joined the family the next day for breakfast and her eyes popped out as she eyed Callie. "Oh baby buggy," Lena added as Stef turned to eye her daughter. She had bags under her eyes and she looked tired.
"DC has a different time zone," she added as a lame ass excuse. The moms' knew better.
"Baby girl?" Stef asked. Callie caved.
"I didn't sleep at all. I was up reading," Callie added as the mom's rushed to her.
"I would have watched some movies," Caleb added. The moms' gave him an intense glare.
"What is it?" they asked her.
"I keep seeing the gun, her face and what she did to me when she was living with us."
"Oh baby girl. Come to mama and me, yes?" Stef asked as she nodded.
"Honey you have the week. We don't want you cooped up in the house," Lena added as Callie nodded. Soon, it was time to leave and Sharon came to take the boys to school.
"Why aren't you two leaving?" Callie asked.
"We took the rest of the week off as well," Stef added.
"A mommy, mama and daughter weekend," Lena added.
"Oh," Callie added. "When?"
"After you take a shower and get dressed. We are going to CBS," Lena added.
Callie nodded shocked, happy and excited. She was worried too.
The ride to San Pedro was short and sweet and they got on the Catalina Express and went to Avalon and took a shore boat to CBS (Campus by the Sea). The breeze was good and Callie knew she needed the outside breeze since she gets sea sick.
"Remember when you were little?" Lena asked.
"Don't remind me," Callie pleaded. "Tossing my cookies."
Lena chuckled as Stef came with three ice cold bottles of Canada Dry Blackberry Ginger ale.
Lena and Callie said thank you and Lena cleared her throat as Callie eyed her.
"Spill the beans mama," Callie added.
"How do you do that?" Stef asked.
"When mama clears her throat," Callie added as it made all the sense in the world.
"Mommy and I think you should see someone again," Lena added.
"I know. I can't be staying up all night. God forbid if I sleep in class," she added in a serious tone.
"Getting shot with a gun sucks and I should know," Stef added.
"You were shot with a gun? When?" Callie asked.
"The big twins were ten," Lena added.
"So AJ, Caleb, Callum and I were seven and the little twins were eight?" Callie asked. The moms nodded. "What happened?"
"We knew it was one suspect, but it was actually two. The second one shot me."
"Oh," Callie replied. "Was daddy there too?"
"No. He was out of state for training," Stef added.
"Did you need to see someone too?" Callie asked as Stef nodded.
"For a few years," Stef added. Callie nodded.
"When do I need to see the therapist?" Callie asked.
"Every Wednesday at six," Lena added. "It is through the station."
"Why the station?" Callie asked.
