A Different Type of Family

Stephanie Foster smiled as she walked into the jewelry store near the station and picked out a ring for Lena. She was going to propose tonight over a candle light dinner and Lena's favorite roses. Her mom was going to cook and her parents were going to take the seven kids to their house for the night.

"Was this the one?" the store employee asked as Stef nodded her head in a smile as she got the ring and paid for it. It was perfect and Lena would love it. She always knew she wanted to ask Lena to marry her. She remembered how she asked Ty a few weeks back and she remembered their talk and smiled.

"So cash or charge?" Annie Smith asked as she eyed the blonde woman in front of her. 

"Charge," Stef added as she gave her Discover card to Annie. 

"You are happy," Annie added. Stef nodded.

"About to propose tonight to the love of my life," Stef added. Annie nodded in a smile.

"How long have you been dating or met?"

"Almost a year," Stef added. Annie nodded.

"He must be a lucky guy," Annie added.

"Lucky girl," Stef corrected her. Annie nodded and eyed her with a smile.

"Even better," Annie added. "My wife and I have been married for three years."

"That's nice. Any kids?"

"No, not yet," Annie added. "We might want to adopt."

"Oh," Stef added. "I have a set of twins and a set of triplets. My soon to be wife has two son's."

"WOW. Seven kids?"

"Yup," Stef added. "They all get along great," Stef added.

"Great," Annie added as she gave Stef the ring in a nice box.

"Have a nice night," Stef added as Annie nodded.

"You too," Annie added. "Good luck."

At home, Stef opened the  door to Lena and the curly haired woman smelled the food.

"Smells great," Lena added. "Your mom made the food."

"Yes she did," Stef added. The dinner was served and they both ate. 

"I'd better get the dessert," Stef added as she came back with a small black box and got down on one knee. Lena was speechless as the tears spilled. She knew what Stef was going to ask her.

"Lena since we met, I felt something running through my veins and it is love. I love you and your boys. I want all of us. All seven of us to be a family," Stef added.

"Will you do me the honor becoming my wife?" Stef asked. Lena stayed silent.

"I do. Of course I do," Lena added as Stef put the ring on her finger and they kissed. 

"I wonder how the twins and Ty will take the news?" Lena asked.

"They will jump up and down," Stef added as she did just that. "You need to see."

Stef led Lena to the living room and Lena's eyes went huge as she eyed the banner that said five beautiful words. "Mama will you marry mommy?"

"Oh it is so lovely," Lena added. "When did they do this?"

"An hour ago," Stef added. Lena nodded. 

"Are those hand prints?" Lena asked.

"Yup, seven sets of hand prints. Callie did not like it so much. Too cold."
