Lena, Sharon and Frank eyed the girl in front of them. They loved her and she loved them. Callie knew she was either going to get grounded or punished after her overdose on Caffeine pills and the lying and sneaking around. She knew she might get a a very hot hide too.
Lena broke the silence. "First off baby buggy. I love you. I decided that you will be on restriction until I can start to trust you again."
"You, um don't trust me anymore mama?" Callie asked sounding like a five year old. Lena nodded her head sadly. "Yes and you will get it back, but I'm not sure when."
Callie bit her lip and nodded as the tears flowed. Lena got up and sat next to her and patted her back. "Do you, do you still love me mama?"
"I do. Very much," Lena added. "A mama's love never goes away. Ever. It grows and grows."
"But you don't trust me. How is that still loving me?" Callie asked.
Lena sighed. "It is different. But I will always love you, baby buggy."
"As do we," Frank and Sharon added. Callie nodded.
"Second your door will lose it's hinges," Lena added. That was expected and Callie nodded. "Third, you will go to drug addict meetings," Lena added.
"I'm not a drug addict," Callie added. "I took caffeine pills to stay up."
"We know, baby buggy. We just want you to see what could had happened if you continued to take them."
Callie wiped her tears as her mama kissed her forehead. "Why don't you go up to your room and do some homework?" Lena asked. Callie nodded and got up and looked so small as she went up to her room.
"What about sports?" Frank asked.
"No. She needs them," Lena added. "She's lost so much already."
In her room, Callie cried as Caleb walked in. "Are you okay and what happened to your door?"
"Mama took my door away. She doesn't trust me anymore," Callie added.
"You scared us Callie," Caleb added. "You fainted in mama's arms."
Callie nodded and cried as Caleb held her. "I need to leave. This place is bad. Mama doesn't trust me, Grandpa thinks I'm some drug addict, grandma sees me as some fragile glass doll that will break," she added.
"Where are you going?" Caleb asked.
"I need to run," Callie added. "Cover for me?"
Caleb nodded as Callie left toward the backstairs to get to the kitchen and left. She called Lexi on the home phone to meet at the park they ran at all the time. Ten minutes later, Callie was at the park.
As the girls ran, Lena went to check on Callie and Caleb eyed this. "Hi mama. I need you," he added as Lena eyed her son. "I need you to pick a book for me to read for Timothy's class."
"Oh," Lena added. "Sure, but I need to check on your sister first."
"Please mama," Caleb added. Lena knew something was up and eyed her son and knew he was hiding something.
"Spill the beans?" Lena asked. This surprised Caleb.
"What?" he asked pretending to be dumb over her question.
"Caleb Leonard!" Lena added.
"She isn't here. You scared her off," he added as Lena took off running to her daughter's empty room and glared at her son. "Why didn't you tell us?"
"I don't blame her. If I were her I would leave too if my mama didn't trust me anymore," he shot back. Lena counted to ten.
"Where did she go?" Lena asked.
