"Ok, can we take a break?"

"No."

"Cameron."

"Johnathan."

Johnathan had a Chemistry test coming up and he knew less than half of the information on the review packet his teacher gave him. I had two days to help him get at least half of the equations into his head.

We were in the den, both sitting on the old red couch I assumed Johnathan's dad made the family keep. Johnathan groaned and slouched down on the couch.

"You're such a child."

"Cameron please, I can't do this anymore. I have basically memorized the Periodic Table."

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Really? If you tell me what element 27 is then we'll stop. We'll watch a movie or something."

He sat up really fast and had this huge goofy smile plastered across his face. "Ok ok! I know this...Cobelt?"

"It's Cobalt but close enough. And just so you do know you don't have to memorize the Periodic Table until you take Chem I...in college."

"Wait seriously?"

I nodded and chuckled. "It helps, though. It saves you time during a test plus you sound really smart when someone asks and you don't have to check it in order to answer. Major brownie points."

"So you know the entire Periodic Table? Wow, you're a nerd."

"Oh definitely, but no I don't know the entire Periodic Table. Most of it, though."

He shook his head at me. He stood up walking to his families massage DVD collection.

"Pick something, anything. We probably have it."

"Uh, I don't know. I'll watch almost anything."

"One or two?"

"What?"

He stood up holding to movies behind his back. "One or two?"

"Two?"

He waved Ferris Bueller's Day Off in the air and put the other on aside. He took the DVD out of the case and put it in the DVD player and sat back on the couch this time closer to me than before. He picked up my legs before sitting down and then rested them on his lap.

"It's an 80's movie!" I put my hands over my chest. "I love 80's movies!"

"Me too, the other one was Scream which isn't an 80's movie but still a good movie."

I shrugged my shoulders at him. "Never seen it."

"You what!? You've never seen- Cameron Taylor I am very disappointed. How have you never seen Scream?"

I shrugged looking at the old movie previews play on the larger tv screen. "I was always too young to watch it and then by the time I was old enough I lost interest."

He lifted my legs again while getting up. "You can't keep doing that. Pick a spot and stay there. What are doing anyway?"

"We're watching Scream." He took out Ferris Bueller's Day Off and replaced it with Scream. "I can't let you go another day without seeing Scream, It's absurd. Haha! Vocab word."

"B-but Ferris."

He ignored me. I guess I didn't have a say in this. He made his way back to the couch. I slid my legs back so he could sit back down and put my legs back on his lap.

"See how that works?"

He smirked at my snarky comment. My phone buzzed twice. A text; yay!

Brandon: hey i was wondering if you'd want to hang out today
