Chapter 8

I heard loud knocks on the bedroom door. I quickly woke up to answer the door until I realized I wasn't in my room. I sat on my bed and felt an arm on my waist. I almost screamed when I saw that it was Jai, but I had to stay quiet or else whoever was outside would know I'm in here.

"Jai, wake up! We're all gonna spend the day outside today. Beverly said Ava didn't wasn't in the room, so we need to go find out where she went." It sounded like Luke.

Oh shit. I completely forgot to tell Beverly that I was in Jai's room. Fuck, this wasn't good at all. I began to shake Jai violently. "Jai, wake up!" I whispered. 

He moved around a little, but didn't wake up. How was I supposed to wake him up?

"Jai what the fuck? Open this door right now!" Luke screamed.

I had to wake up Jai, but I didn't know how to wake him up. He was such a deep sleeper. I began slapping him hardly on his face and his eyes opened immediately. 

"WHA-" I quickly covered his mouth before he could yell.

"Luke is outside of the room and he wants you to open the door." I whispered.

"So? Just open the door." He looked at me as if I was stupid and laid back down. 

"Jai you fucking idiot! No one can know that I slept in the same room as you. I'm gonna go hide in the bathroom and you're gonna open the door." Did he have no brain? He was so stupid. 

"Luke won't say anything, just open the door." He began to rub his eyes. I slapped him hard across his face.

"THAT ACTUALLY HURTS AVA. STOP SLAPPING ME." Jai yelled and moved my hand away. 

Oh no. Now Luke was gonna know I'm also in the room. Jai got up and opened the door. 

"Its like 7am, Luke. Go back to sleep. We'll all go out later." Jai said.

Luke had a weird, teasing smile on his face. He looked at Jai and then looked at me. I avoided eye contact and decided to just stare at the white wall.

"First, its 12pm." Luke came into the room and jumped onto the bed. "Second, I can see that you were having a lovely time with Ava, but we need to go now. I need to get my photography project done."

I felt my cheeks get red and my hands began sweating. "That's not true. I just came here because Jai forced me." I looked away.

"Ava its okay, we don't need to hide our love for each other." 

I wanted to kill Jai. I wanted to tie him up and throw him in the Pacific Ocean with the sharks. But for now, I decided to ruin his fun and play along.

"You're right Jai. I had such a lovely time last night. I can't believe all the things you shared with me. Like how you've always been jealous of Luke." I sighed dramatically. "I think this is a good time to talk to Luke about it."

Jai lost his smile. "If you compare my body with Luke's body, you'll understand that I have no reason to be jealous." 

Luke laughed. "Just ignore him Ava. He's too cocky."

Jai smirked. "Oh I'm definitely cocky. If you know what I mean."

Luke pushed him away and was about to leave the room when he paused by the door. He turned around to face me. "Beverly told me you were crying last night."

Fuck. That girl had such a big mouth, she went and told everyone everything. I didn't need any sympathy from any of them. That's what people do. First they hear all about your problems and then they pity you. I hate pity.
