I was frozen. I couldn't move. This guy that I barely knew was hugging me. He can't do this. I wouldn't let him.
I pushed him away from me and suddenly felt cold.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME." I spat.
"Ava, what the fuck? I come here to comfort you and you just push me away?"He argued back.
I didn't have to answer him. I started walking away. The whole school probably knew by now what happened. I left Jai all by himself in the hallway and tried finding my next class. I looked at my schedule to check what class I had next, but before I got the chance, I heard a lady screaming behind me.
"You! Principals office, now!" She was an old lady with anger issues. Obviously she was some lame teacher.
She came next to me and began pulling my arm towards the principals office. Wow, first day and i'm already in trouble. I wonder what dad's reaction to this would be. Or Rachel's. I entered the room, only to see the devil herself. Rachel was sitting down, and from what I could tell, she wasn't happy one bit.
"Nice seeing you here, Rachel. Missed me so much that you decided to come here before school even ended?" I smirked.
"Ava, please take a seat. I hope you know that what you did in the lunchroom was not only witnessed by many others, but physically assaulting another student will cause you suspension." The principal said. He wasn't an old man. He was actually young.
"Aw suspension already? Thats wonderful! Can I go now?"
"AVA! THIS IS RIDICULOUS." Rachel got up from her seat and began screaming at me. If she didn't stop talking, I'd probably end up punching her too.
"Listen. Look. Mr. Principle, whatever your name is, I punched that bitch for a reason."
"Please control your language. And it doesn't matter what the reason was, you had no right to do what you did."
They were pissing me off. They were really pissing me off. I sat there for an hour listening to him talk about how I wasn't allowed to be on school property for one week and how it was bad for "college," and all this other shit that I didn't bother listening to. Finally, I was able to go. And apparently Rachel was forced to take me home because my dad said it wasn't good for me to walk home. Funny how he pretends to care.
I followed Rachel to her car and sat in the passenger seat. Rachel started the car and it was silent for ten minutes.
When we finally arrived home, I was about to leave the car, but Rachel grabbed my arm and sat me back down.
"I'm going to say this once and if you don't listen to me, I swear I will get you kicked out of this house. Ava, I don't know what your mother did to you. I don't know how she treated you, or if she even spoke to you. But coming to my house when my family is extremely happy isn't right. You just fucked up everything. All the plans my family and I had, all the happiness we had, its all gone. You know why Ava? Because of you. And let me tell you one more thing. Keep fucking up and you'll only get worse. Getting suspended on the first day of school? You probably do drugs too. I don't know what type of person you are. But just keep one thing in mind. I don't love you. Adam doesn't love you. And your dad doesn't love you, and he never will."
She got out of the car, and slammed the door shut.
I hugged my backpack hard. I knew he didn't care, but now its confirmed. I suddenly felt sick. I couldn't stay here. The tears began forming in my eyes and I tried stopping them. I got out of the car fast, and walked away from the house. The tears began blurring my vision, and I began shivering because of the cold. Where do I go? What do I do? I never felt so alone in my life. I continued walking, having no idea where I was going. My head began throbbing and all the pain came back. I took out my phone and searched through my contacts. No one. I had no one.
