His first class sat in front of him, waiting for him to start class. It wasn't the first day of school, in fact it was the middle of November. But for dan, this was all brand new.

"Um, hey guys. I'm Mr. Smith but just call me Dan, Mr. Smith is too weird and formal." He was rambling on and he could feel it.

"I guess I'll tell you a little bit about myself. I used to be an artist. I guess art has always been my calling. And that's why I'm here." He looked around the class where all the students were looking up at him.

"You're all going to have to help me out. If I'm going to be honest, I have no clue how to teach." Dan said, listening as the students laughed along with him.

He then went around the room having the kids introduce themselves.

"Each of you tell me your favorite song. I'll put it in a playlist and play it during class." Dan said, the students lining up in front of him. He wrote down each song, smiling at the students music taste.

"I saw you perform." One the students named Matt said. Dan had actually recognized him. The two had talked for a while, but he had no idea Matt was a Highschool student.

The class gasped as if telling him to explain.

"Well guys I was a singer for a little bit. But I just released one album and that complete shit. Oh fuck, shoot. I can't cuss can I?"

"You can cuss." A few said, laughing.

"What's your album named?" A girl asked him. He then took a seat on one of the art tables in the front, sitting cross cross on the table.

"It's just called Dan Smith, I know super creative." He laughed.

He checked his watch, the class almost over.

"Well it's almost time to go. I'm just going to say that I don't want to be your teacher. I want to be your friend that you see five days a week for an hour who teaches you about the wonderful art form that is photography. All I want is for you to enjoy this class. Hopefully it can be an hour to relax, take some cool pictures, and chill. I'll see all you tomorrow."
