J-'Whats good? I'm trynna see you.'

I was sitting in Kelly's car right outside of Walgreens when I got a text message from Jay. It took me a minute to talk her into it but I nipped the idea of going to get our nails done in the bud and made her stop and get a pregnancy test. I wasn't going to have her walking around here clueless especially after finding out about Renzo's side activities.

I could tell her mood had changed since I told her word for word what that Asia trick was bragging to her friend about in the store. Maybe she was embarrassed, I don't know.

The fact that she even had a feeling something fishy was going on and didn't do anything about it upset me.

I honestly thought she'd have a little more respect for herself to not let someone walk all over her like that. She wasn't any different from the rest of those silly females caught up in pointless relationships with the father of their children. 'We just going through a rough patch right now...I aint been giving him enough attention lately...blah blah..yadda yadda bullshit.' You know the ones that had all the excuses in the world as to why their man couldn't keep his dick in his pants for nothing.

If a nigga claims to love you- fcuking some other broad has no reasonable explanation.

Putting the thought of Kelly's current issues aside from my own, I stared at the screen on my cell and contemplated on replying to Jay's message. I guess he wasn't asking for too much but right now wasn't the time.

B-'I'm actually a little busy right now but what did you have in mind? I don't get off until 9 tonight.'

I pressed send and looked up seeing Kelly coming out of the store with an expression on her face like stone. I felt like I'd just ruined her day.

She got in the car; tossing the bag in the backseat and let out an exaggerated sigh. "I can't believe you're making me do this right now."

"You were going to have to find out sooner or later."

"I'm only ...2 weeks late." She pulled out of the parking lot and headed to the apartment she shared with Renzo. I was praying to god he wasn't home. It was a typical Saturday afternoon and if RJ was with her mother, I hope that meant he was too busy to watch him too.

"Well that right there should tell you something Kelly."

"It's happened before and then showed up out of no where."

"Mhmm...So whatchu gon do if you are?"

"How about I just take the test first and then I can address that."

I backed off and relaxed in my seat while she drove in silence. Jay finally responded and I ended up going back an forth with him through texts since Kelly wasn't talking anymore.

J- 'I'm going to be out that way later on anyway. I might just have to stop by there and see you.'

B-'Whatchu gotta come out here for? You stay spending money.'

J-'aha true but when you gon let me take you to the mall and spoil you?'

B-'I don't need you spending your money on me. I got my own.'

J-'Aight, Miss Independent.'

B-'Whatever lol.'

J-'I'm serious though, just know that.'

B-'I hear you.'
