Saturday May 24th

Two weeks later, classes were over and the status of my grades were far from my worries. I was pretty confident that I'd sealed the semester off with at least a 3.0 GPA but I still didn't have anything to smile about at the moment.

It was six in the morning, entirely too fcukin early to have flights booked and here I was standing in line about to board my plane; stuck between Osama Bin Laden's look-a-like and this white lady that kept coughing and wheezing over my shoulder like she had the flu or something.

I was two seconds away from turning around and giving her infected ass a nasty look but my cell phone started ringing.

I sighed and rolled my eyes removing it from the front pocket on my hoodie.

I knew it couldn't have been anyone but my mother. She had called me at least 3 times this morning. Twice before the crack of dawn and once while I was in a cab on my over here.

For some reason she thought I'd purposely miss the flight. I had to laugh at that when she told me but no matter how much I wasn't feeling this little trip, I wouldn't deliberately waste the money she'd spent on booking the flight.

"I'm getting on the plane now Mama, dang!" I spoke into the phone laughing but annoyance still evident in my voice.

"I'm just making sure. I know how you can get."

"Well I'm here. There's nothing to worry about."

"Alright, and your father said he'll be able to pick you up. I told him to meet you in baggage claim."

"Okay."

"See you later."

"Mhmm." I pressed the end button on my phone and peered to the side; checking out the long line of people in front of me. It was moving but not as quick as I had hoped for. I'd totally forgotten that it was Memorial Day weekend.

Before I knew it, the walking virus behind me sneezed and I could've fell out right then and there when I felt something wet splash on the back of my neck.

I closed my eyes and frowned clearly disgusted.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! Excuse me!" she apologized.

"It's okay!" I forced an unpleasant smile not even attempting to look in her direction.

As much as I wanted to whirl around and cuss her nasty ass out, I couldn't. Loud and obnoxious wasn't exactly the core of my personality but sometimes I really wished it were. Ugh!
