Hmph! Here I go getting carried away again. I know I'm not crazy though. Every female does it. You know what I'm talking about. When you start liking someone, and I mean really feeling them you start daydreaming about a possible future together, what your kids will look like- all that mushy stuff.
Well a week had passed since my little date with Jay and I'm not exactly proud to say that he had me wide open already. I was crushin hard. He was basically everything I wasn't and liked in a guy. Funny, talkative, aggressive- the list goes on. People weren't lying when they said opposites attract.
We talked on the phone a few times since then, but there was that one conversation that lasted up until 4 in the morning. He'd send me these cute little text messages too throughout the day telling me about something crazy that had happened to him. It threw me for a loop sometimes when he'd use terms of endearment and refer to me as baby, or beautiful. I was convinced it was all game but for some reason I still ate it up like crazy.
As for right now, I was in the back of my mother's boutique folding jeans when she called for me. I usually worked here during my breaks for some extra cash. I didn't plan on starting so soon but one of her employees couldn't come in today, so here I was helping out.
"Yea?" I found her in her office.
"Can you do me a huge favor?"
"What?"
"I'm starving."
I sighed and leaned up against the doorframe while she giggled.
"I can't leave this desk right now, I'm expecting a phone call. Would you mind going to get something for me?"
"Whatchu want?" I unfolded my arms and approached her desk while she fished through her huge purse for some money.
"A sandwhich from Subway would be fine...." She finally found her wallet. "Noo, Chinese sounds real good right now....no wait...."
"Mama!!" I frowned getting impatient. She just laughed and handed me a 20 dollar bill.
"You know what just get me a burrito bowl from Chipotle'."
I headed towards the door and turned around. "Are you sure that's what you want?"
"Girl, get out of here before I change my mind forreal." She waved both of her hands and I left.

20 minutes later I was walking out of the food court with my mother's food and heading down the strip when my cell phone went off in my hand. I checked the screen realizing it was Kelly and answered it.
"Hello?"
"So...Word on the street is- the same ignorant fool you were trying to avoid the other day took you out on a date!" She giggled.
