Within the next few weeks I found myself spending all of my free time with Jay and the more people he introduced me to the more information I absorbed about him. He was the complete package; the epitome of a renaissance man, and someone I strongly desired. Slowly but surely those crush-like feelings I'd had in the beginning had returned on full blast but I still had an issue with keeping everything to myself.

With me being so reserved and shy at times, I was seriously starting to annoy my damn self- Trust; there'd been plenty times that I just wanted to take the lead with Jay and show him some affection instead of receiving it all the time but I never did know where to start. I adored him for putting up with me though.

We weren't exactly boyfriend and girlfriend YET, but it was obvious we were dating and getting to that level. I'd gotten so use to our little routine of hanging out at his place or going to dinner or a movie. I think I was falling in like with the man to be honest with you but that other L word would come later on down the line hopefully.

He even went into detail about his situation with Nichole for me and according to him I had nothing to worry about. She was supposedly just what Kelly had referred to her as. A jump off gone wrong. He had no feelings for her what so ever and let her know from the jump.

Taking all of this in right now sucks though because sooner or later, it'd be time for me to go back to school. Jay knew the deal, but he never brought it up or acted like it'd be a problem so maybe he'd be up for a long distance relationship if we did decide to take things to the next level.

"Did you hear anything I just said?" My mother's voice leaked through the cordless Panasonic phone propped up on my shoulder. She and my father were in Alabama for the weekend visiting my great aunt.

"Yea Mama- Keep the house clean, no parties..yadda yadda." I rolled my eyes and leaned over the island while I stood in the kitchen.

"I'm serious now Bee. I'm putting you in charge. If I come back home and find my house out of whack I'm beating your ass and then Solange's! Kapeesh?"

I heard my father in the background telling her to stop badgering me. I love her to death but we might end up having some problems if she put her hands on me. I'm too old for all that but most of all she should know to trust me. It was that other offspring of hers she needed to be worried about.

"I gotchu Ma, but Solange is the one you need to be having this talk with."

"I talked to her before I left, I'm just counting on you to keep an eye on her."

"I can't promise you anything. You know how she is. I don't know why yall didn't take her hard headed behind with yall in the first place."

"You know she wasn't havin that. Where is she anyway?"

I shrugged my shoulders as if she could see me. "I don't even know. She left outta here about an hour ago." I glanced at the clock realizing it was almost 10.
