Resuscitate this heart
Glue the pieces torn apart
Its still broken
Only a sorrowful token
Of what was, could've been
If only I had seen...
The thick veiled deceit
The stench of defeat
I gave you so much more than I could ask for
In the end I should've known my place is bleeding out on the floor
It never occurred to me that I wasn't the only viper
That this time, I wasn't the survivor
But you were beautiful to me
I wasn't the one holding the key
Not this time, not ever
This tie you had severed
I was with wonder as you dipped your hand within my ribcage
It left me amazed
How your jaws glistened
I should have listened
