There's something clawing itself out of my mind
An entity I never wanted to find
An ancient being
That's rarely seen
But its always been there
Feeding on our fear
It pushes and it begs to be heard
But giving it the time of day would be absurd
It only seeks one thing
To bring down everything
It does not love, only conquers
Deep within still waters
Hidden from the world
A kingdom it has built
All the thoughts and feelings you've buried deep
Whispering there's nothing in the world you can keep
It all withers away
There's nothing you can do, nothing you can say
In the end all leaves
Nothing eternally breathes
It craves your downfall
Craves the wrecking of your soul
It lives in each of us and we let it
I let it live as you did
Poisoning my mind
Turning my senses blind
Consumed by the things
That insanity brings
And now I'm left alone
Everyone I ever knew seemed to have gone
I am faced with the one thing I truly hate
It seems we have been brought together by fate
I can't let you go, and you can't let me go
I just didn't know
How much I despised it all
How I'd find it easy to fall
You came to me in my dreams
Pulled the tapestry at the seams
Told me what was wrong
That it should be all made gone
You just didn't say i was part of the problem
And amidst the darkness
There is nothing left to lose except myself.
I long to lose you.
You turned and turned until there was nothing left
And now what do you say
Will it be okay
Is this what you wanted
Just a hollow shell of you once wanted
There's nothing left for you to do
And it seems I'm stuck with you.
