ROUGE 10: Lead

"I knew. " Penelope said with a straight face void of emotions if only you wouldn't look at her in the eyes.

"You what? How did you know that Storm... " Nevaeh couldn't help but ask exasperatedly but was cut off by a sighing Penelope.

"That's what my message for the princess was. She has to take care of Storm for me. He's less likely to be in danger with Zephy than with me. " Penelope explained. The other stared in shock.

"Penelope, Why? Why did you do it? You love your little brother so much that you'll do everything to keep him safe always. Why? " Heza asked. Penelope couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"That's why! I'm ready to be away from my brother for as long as possible, even stay away from my siblings for as long as possible as long as they are safe. I don't care if I get hurt,  I could take it. But them getting hurt is another story. " Penelope said and she huffed and left to go to her assigned room. Penelope was seething because of what happened to their houses. She was in rage of what had happened because there were things in that house that held sentimental values and it was just gone. The books they borrowed from the library were also gone. The answers about their wayward powers were there. And now, she's going back to phase one about her wayward powers problems.

Back to the girls, they were just looking at each other not believing what happened just then.

"So, we just let her succumb to loneliness? Sometimes, I hate Penelope. " Maxfire said and the others also just sighed.

"Let her be for a while. We have a much pressing matter to take care of. " April said and the others looked to her for answers.

"Jayden said something about book reading. There, in the library there were series of books that could potentially help us through this stupid  wayward power problems. He said we should head their and read about it. " April explained. They looked at one another and nodded.

"You guys should have just told us the answers were here in Xyrene's mansion. We had to go to the Library and borrow books that gives little help. And the books got burnt so we can't go back to the town library anymore. Perfect. " Alice deadpanned. The others chuckled.

"We probably can't come out to public soon. Our identities would be known sometime. " Heza said and the others could only stare at her. She gave them the one eyebrow raised look.

"What? What's the probability of Shyra not mouthing us out to the King? She hates her sister and she probably figured were part of her sister's rebellion group. " Heza explained.

"We are part of it actually. " Aliyah added. And the other's felt overshadowing when they felt a chill in the air.

"Let's just go to the library and read already. I want this over with. " Yuki said as she walked faster to get to the library. The other's followed.

They searched each book they could read. The only sound you could hear inside were pages of books being turned over.

"Check this out! " Tremaine almost shouted. The others couldn't help but give her a pointed look.

"This is still a library you know. " Aliyah pointedly said as she walked over and took the book from Tremaine and reading it herself.

"GUYS! It's here! " she shouted and the others turned to her pointedly. They gave her disapproving looks.

"Okay! Sorry. But check this out. " She said and she loudly read the paragraph from the book.

'There are certain circumstances where an elemental resists it's powers or the powers resists it's elemental. Some causes of this would be the following; (1) The elemental couldn't handle their powers. (2) The powers couldn't be contained.  (3) A strong element has been around the elemental to cause it to fluctuate. (4) A strong curse was placed upon the elemental to cause resistance of the powers inside them.

Some elemental has been able to overcome the problems regarding their powers resistance. There are ways around this problems.  '

"What? It's missing a page. " Aliyah scowled." And the next page is torned too. " she said in irritation.

"Ragnild cave? What's this? Brites Land? Hey? Let's continue to find something especially this Ragnild cave and Brites Land." Aliyah told them. They nodded.

"Is there such a place in our world that is Brites Land? I don't think I ever heard one. " Alice told them. They were blinking owlishly at her.

"I've read a lot of books. Aliyah has read a lot of books too.And you guys? You've read books too. But Brites Land isn't familiar right? " Alice asked the others and they nodded. It also got them thinking.

"You guys are here? What did you find? " Xyrene came in with Penelope in tow. Alice hesitated.

"Do you perhaps know anything about Brites Land? " Yuki asked. Xyrene forrowed her brows and shook her head.

"No, I actually have read hundreds of books and never had I read about Brites Land. Penelope? " Xyrene answered and turned to Penelope. Penelope looked to be deep in thought.

"I think I heard that before. I don't know where and when but I know I heard that before. When I was still with my parents perhaps? I don't know. I feel like my parents mentioned that place. "Penelope said, thinking hard.

"So, this place exists? " Maxfire asked and Penelope nodded in affirmation.

"I think there are books that has information about that land. I don't know what kind of book. Was there perhaps a Ragnild Cave? I read that in the book that was burnt together with the house. " Penelope asked them and they nodded.

"I think that we have to find where Brites land is to find Ragnild Cave. But how can we find something that has almost no information? " Nevaeh said and asked. They shrugged their shoulders when suddenly, a thud was heard. All eyes turned to a very angry April and an equally angered Aliyah.

"Like he'll! If I were you, I would shut up! Bitch! " Aliyah angrily said to April. Afterwards, April slapped Aliyah so hard you could see the mark on her face..

"You.have. no.right!  I am also doing my best here Ali. I'm trying because I also want to win for my sister that is still missing. It's not just you! Its not always just you! So stop and shut up. You have no idea what I am feeling so shut up! " April said.

"How Dare you! " said an angry Aliyah. They seemed to not realize what they were doing.

"Aliyah, April. Stop that before this gets more personal and more physical. We have things to do still. " Alice told them. She was almost shaking in fear and she doesn't understand why!

"Oh shut up! We have our own problems and you have no idea about mine. So let's just all shut up okay? Now why don't we mind our own businesses?"Aliyah said. She was about to leave but Penelope held her wrist.

"Aliyah... " but she was cut off by a resounding slap. The others stared slackjawed.

"If I say mind you own business then you mind your own business. " Aliyah seethingly said. And left without other words. Her friends that was left were left in a daze.
