7_Songwriter

I feel their eyes scanning me.

"Hi Alex it's great to finally meet you." Calum says.
They all nod in agreement.
"Well , we know that you know our names."
Mike says, with a light chuckle.
Luke's eyes haven't left me, and the butterflies in my stomach seem to burst.

"Okay , so first pictures."
I nod and take out my phone. I still feel speechless .We take our pictures , sign a few things and we sit in the living room.

My mom walks in to announce .

"Alex, we will be staying a bit late. Jones is stuck in traffic."

I look at the guys.
"You can stay with us." Ashton says with a smile on his face.

"Thanks." I mumble.

Luke whispers something in Calum's ear  and he laughs.

"Alex  you've been quite.." Mike starts.

"And we bet that you already know everything about us.." continues Calum.

"You don't have to make it sound so creepy." I mumble, feeling my cheeks turn crimson red.

They look surprised. Luke that hasn't said a word since I got here screams.
"SHE CAN TALK!!!!!!!"The boys and I burst out laughing. Luke is so adorable.

"We should play 20 questions."
Luke's voice is making my insides melt.

"Since, there are 4 of you each one should each ask me 5 questions." I say , sounding nerdy for sure.

"Oh , she's smart too."Calum says , nudging Luke and he pouts .

Mike starts:
4-Favorite animal: owls , pandas , and unicorns
"I love unicorns too!" Mike gives me a high five.

Ashton:
6-favorite 5sos song: amnesia

7-Favorite instruments: piano, guitar, flute and violin.
"So , you enjoy classical music?" Luke asks me with a playful grin.

I smile and answer with a simple "yes" , unable to mutter other words.

10-Favorite 1Directioner:Harry , Niall

Calum:
13-Naughty or Nice:
"Cal seriously. Wait can I call you cal?"

"Yeah sure. And yeah are you the naughty kind or nice kind?"

"I don't know both." I answer not really knowing my label.

I never got in trouble and haven't really gone far with a guy. The farthest I've gone is an innocent hug. But I've never been miss good girl.

Cal rolls his eyes and gives me a small smile.

And then Luke asks:
" okay question 18. How old are you?"

"Turning 18 in December."

"Are you single?" He looks down towards his feet, his cheeks pink.

I smile and look at him .Like really look at him.The way his pupil expand with wonder, the way his piercing blue eyes make butterflies erupt inside me.

"Yes."

"Well that was unexpected." He says , bringing his face up ,.letting me set my eyes on his.

"Why?"

"Don't think I told you , you look pretty on your profile picture if I didn't mean it."

I feel myself blush.How is he doing this to me?

"What do you like to do for fun? "

"Mmmm. Well I love reading , writing , and music in general."

"What do you like to write?"

"I write songs , books , and poetry."

"And in music?"

"I sing , play the piano and I'm trying to play the guitar."

All the guy's questions where superficial. Luke's were more about who I am and I like that.

"You sing?"

"Yeah."

"Can you sing for us ?"

"Sorry Luke, but in your dreams."
They laugh at my comment. I don't want to leave their side. They haven't insulted me and I like it.

"Oh don't worry you will be singing in his dreams." Calum says and we all burst out laughing, Luke looking away from my eyes, his cheeks turning a darker shade of red.

"Do you have any songs with you?" Ashton asks , moving the attention from Luke to him.

"Yes,but they are in my bag back at the hotel."

"When we get there can we see them?"

"Yes,.."

Before I could finish my mom walks in telling us our ride arrived. Well both of our rides.

We say goodbye.Luke says that he'll see us back at the hotel and winks at me. Little pieces of my heart melt.

We get to the hotel and the guys come into our room. We all sit in a circle around the table.

I place a few papers with my songs and they start reading them.

"Alex this is really good mate" Ashton says , flipping the paper in his hands.

"Really Ashton?" I asks , not really believing the words leaving his mouth.

"Yes, and call me Ash." He says with a huge smile on his face , while my brain starts fangirling.

We talked for about an hour about my songs when a man walks in wearing a navy blue suit with a white shirt that goes with his pearly white hair.

"Hi Paul."The guys all say at once. I think he's the manager or something.

"Paul this is Alex. The girl we personally invite."Mike's introduction made me feel a bit awkward.

I take out my hand and I shake it with his.
"Nice to meet you Alex."

"Pleasures all mine."

Ashton tells Mike something then to Calum and Luke. They all look at each other and nod.

Mike starts
"Paul actually , as you know our song writer quit and we are looking for one."
Cal continues ,"but they all have the worst taste in music writing ."
Ashton takes the lead ." And as you know we need a song writer desperately. And I think actually we think we found the best songwriter we'll ever find."
Paul looks at the guys with curiosity eating away his eyes.
"And who might this songwriter be?"
Luke looks at me  then at Paul.
"Alex."I put my hand on my mouth.

Is this really happening?

5sos wants me to be their songwriter.
ME?

Alex the girl that everyone hates and her friends insult her and use her all the time?

The one with 0 talent ?

"If you like her writing and you think she would be a good asset to the band then why not."The 4 boys plus my mom look at me waiting for my reaction .

"Alex would you like to be the songwriter of 5sos. And tour around with them for 3 months?" Paul says his voice, soft.

I feel my words fade away with the noise of the busy streets.

I can fulfil my dream of being a songwriter, but I'll have to leave my friends , family and I'll have to spend 3 months with 4 strangers.
Don't get me wrong extremely hot strangers that sing like angels and don't hurt me .
If I say yes ,my life will flip around.
If I say no, I'll spend my entire life wondering what would've happened.
