Chapter 50

Alex's P.O.V

Luke is taking me out for our half a year anniversary and I'm nervous. I'm giving him his present when we get to the restaurant and I really hope he likes it.

I wear a red top with some black jeans , a matching scarf , and black vans.

I walk outside my room, to find my awesome boyfriend standing against the wall , wearing similar to me. It's cute when we match without planning.

The boys and their families went back to their houses after lunch and my parents left to visit some neighbors, so the house was empty.

"Sunshine, you look so cute in red." I feel myself blush. He laughs, kissing my forehead. I grab his hand and we walk outside.

He drives us to our favorite restaurant in town. He pulls up a chair for me to sit , I thank him and peck his chin. He sits in front of me and I can't pull my eyes away from him. It's hard to.

"I'll give your present after we leave." I nod , not really caring about the present. I just want him.
"Your present is before we leave." He smiles , grabbing the menu and starts flipping through the pages.

It's dumb , because no matter how many times we come here we order the same thing. I the chicken ceaser salad , he orders the normal ceaser salad , pizza and french fries for both.
I also wonder why the waiter asks about what we want. He always laughs after our orders.

"Why do I open the menu if we always order the same thing?" He says , closing the menu.
"I've been wondering the same thing for the past few minutes." We both laugh. The sound of his laugh making my heart flutter.

"You know that I love you?" I say it out of the blue. He looks up , his light blue eyes so innocent looking." I love you too. I also love when you say it." I smile , pecking the tip of his nose. "You're such a tease." I stick my tongue out , playfully. He chuckles, covering his face.
"How could God create such a perfect thing?"

I'm dead , gone, not coming back..

I really can't answer, he's still covering his face, like he doesn't want to see me or he can't handle it." You make it so hard for me to keep my hands away from you." I melt even more.

"I never asked you to." I regain my voice. He looks up ,that stupid smirk on his face, enough to start a war and end it. "God if we weren't in public..." I laugh. I know how to tease him good.

"What would your meal be for the evening?" I look up to the waiter. Luke smiles at him and he just nods, a grin playing on his face.

We talk before the meal arrives about dumb things and continue talking about dumb things even after we finish our meal.

"Okay . Can I ask for the check ?" He raises his eyebrows at me. "I'm just exited to give you your present." He laughs , waving his hand for the waiter to come. "Can I have the check please?" He nods , goes and comes back with it. I whisper to him to bring his present.

The waiter comes back with a glass box , Luke looks at me weirdly. "Wait see what's inside the box." He shrugs taking the box in front of him.
He slowly peels off the cover and his eyes widen." You have to be kidding me?You got me a freaking penguin?!?" Is he mad?
"Alex it's perfect!" He squeals making my heart burst with adorableness.

"Boy or girl?" He asks , looking at the small creature between his hands."Girl." I remember the vet telling me before taking her.
"I'll call her Joy !" That was fast.

~6 days later~
~New Years Eve~

For the start of a new year the tension is high. Loui and Alyssa are still not talking and Lauren and my brother are in extreme awkwardness.
