Chapter 46

~6 days later~
Luke's P.O.V

"Alexandra Jones!" I yell from my room,standing in front of my mirror. We're getting ready for the winter dance and my tie is not cooperating.
"Yes , Luke?" She yells back from the room across from mine. She and the girls are all getting ready at our house and the rest of the boys are done. Alex and Shawn are still not talking both ignoring our requests to make up.

"I need you to help me with my tie!"she doesn't answer I just hear the clinic sound of her high heels. She walks in wearing a  black lace  dress front split long sleeve sweep train . And she looks great. Her hair perfectly curled , flowing down on her back , her make-up matching perfectly. Her fingers are tying my tie , while I stare at her. Her eyes ,painted with a winged eyeliner, the shadow filled with sparkles and her lashes long. Her cheeks are reder than usual, she must of put blush and blood red lips.
"What are you looking at?" She asks fiddling with the thing around my neck. "Nothing." I say casually. She rolls her eyes , finishing the knot.
"Done" she pulls back and I can fully admire her beauty. She looks stunning. "Wow". Color rises in her cheeks ."You look good yourself." She says while playing with her ring. I step closer , to her. Even with the heels she's smaller than me.

I kiss her , she grabs me by the tie pulling me closer to her. "Get a room guys!" I pull back looking at the doorway is Ashton. "They are in a room you dinwit!" Lauren says , pushing Ashton from the door way. Alex glances at me and giggles. "What?" She wipes my mouth with her thumb, the taste of her cheery lipstick lingering on my lips.

"Let's go!" Yells Calum from downstairs. Dany , was able to fly from L.A so she could join us for Christmas. I hold Alex's hand and make our way down.

It's still snowing, the trees filled with flakes , the streets white and the setting sky filled with falling diamonds.

My winter wonderland...

The gym looks great. Alex is in the decorating comity and she told me it would look great but I didn't expect it to look this good.

"I can't wait to see what you're going to do for prom." I blurt out . She looks up to me , her big brown eyes filled with neon lights. "You won't. I left the comity." I look at her stunned , she loves doing these things. She reads my mind because she answers my unasked question." Things got ugly, everyone was jealous from everyone. Not my crowd." She says it so casually, like it wasn't something she loved doing. I kiss her cheek, she smiles leading me inside with the rest.

We all sit on one big round table. Mike, Gwen, Calum , Danny, Ashton, Juliet, Shawn, Mo , Jane , Kate , Adam and Alyssa. Alyssa is a bit moody since Loui couldn't join , but since when is she not moody?

"Hey." Alex says cheerfully. Even though we were all in the same car a few minutes ago.
Shawn looks Alex, his mouth slightly open.
"You look gorgeous Alex." She gives him a polite smile before dragging me to the dance floor.

We move to the beat together. She's the one that always takes the lead. What can I say ? The girl likes power.

I get closer to her , our bodies barely touching.
"I love you." She smiles ,her eyes squinting , her nose twitching. I peck her nose before she says anything. "I love you too." Her voice is so soft it sounds like a whisper. My arm is wrapped around her waist and the other one is on her cheek, my thumb caressing her soft skin.
Her eyes are set on mine , the color drowning me into a completely different world.

They play a slow song and she moves closer to me , till her head is resting on the crook of my neck , her arms around my body and mine around hers. I place a kiss on the top of her head, laying my chin.

I can smell her perfume from here , it's 'Pure seduction' . I bought her that from VS. But it smells way better on her. It's like the perfume mixed with all of her Alexeness forming a new fragrance. She knows I'm smelling her hair because she says something I can't catch and giggles.

Alex , pulls back from me, horror building inside her eyes. "Alex , what's wrong?" I notice she's looking over my shoulder where the rest of the group is sitting. I turn around to see what caused the sudden reaction. I don't see it at first , but then someone walks over towards Ashton giving him a man hug , before the rest.

Alex's P.O.V

What is he doing here ? He's not from this school. He's not even from Wisconsin.
What is Tom Irwin doing here?

Luke holds my hand , acknowledging my discomfort. I was mean to Tom and I never talked to him again. I stopped talking to him the day Luke kissed me...

I'm stuck between going and saying hi or hiding under a rock. Under a rock is a better solution. I walk to the opposite direction, bumping into someone. I mumble an apology and keep moving. "Mystery Alex?" I stop in my tracks. It's Tom. How the heck did he get here so fast?

I turn around , shyly smiling. "Tom?" I try to act surprised.

I'm so bad at acting..

He walks over giving me a hug. "How have you been? Things good with Hemmo?" I look at him surprised. He says it smiling. I doubt he's lying.
"Mmmm.." what can I say to the boy I rejected for my boyfriend that is good friends with him?
"Alex , I'm cool about the entire thing. I'm over you." I sigh with relief. "So you're not mad at me for being so rude?" I did reject him harshly."No'"
I smile, finally some of the guilt lifting itself off my chest.

We walk over the table, everyone is there except Kate. She must be dancing with someone. I sit on one end of the table, towards the dance floor and Luke around me." What are you doing here Tom?" Shawn asks , putting the beer bottle on the table. "Christmas."I look over Ashton, he catches my eye for a second before turning away. "Didn't Ash tell you ?" He asks looking at me. I shake my head no , he slaps his cousin on the shoulder chuckling.

Kate comes running through the crowd and stops in front of me. I turn around my chair to face her , my back towards Luke's side."OMG! Guys there's going to be a PATD! contest. If one of win we get 2 free tickets and Vip passages." Kate says it so fast , trying to catch her breath. She lays her eyes on Tom and looks back at me. "And who is this?" She says pointing at  him. I turn around glancing at him, he has his eyes set on Kate , a grin on his face.
"I'm Tom Irwin. Ash's cousin. Who might you be?" He takes a sip of his beer making it seem like he's the man." I'm Kate. Alex's bff." He shakes her hand. A smile on both their faces.
"Want to dance?" She looks at Ashton, he nods and she does too. He drags her to the dance floor, while she's all giggly.

They start dancing, when he turns around she looks over us smiling. I send her a thumbs up.
Luke wraps his arm around my neck , lose on the grip, placing a kiss on my head.

Shawn strands up and whispers something into Luke's ear, he nods removing his hand from around my shoulder."Alex, can I please have this dance. " I shake my head no. Shawn looks towards Luke, asking for help. I know him well enough to know what he needs."Alex , let him talk to you." Luke's words are soft against my skin. He places a kiss on my ear and moves back. I take hold of Shawn's hand and he leads us to the dance floor.

"Alex, I'm sorry, okay. You have a full right not to talk to me, but I miss you. I miss our friendship. Don't let my dumbness affect our friendship. Please." I look into his eyes, and I can see how sorry he really is. His eyes are searching mine , I just hug him without answering. It takes him a second before hugging me back. "I'm glad I have you as a friend." I say slightly yelling over the music. It felt good to have my friends back

That's how the night went on, 15 friends drinking , dancing and laughing all night long..
