Chapter 5 part 5

I walk into the session with a circle of chairs everyones in their seats looking at me the happiness I just had with Ethan is gone

I sit in the spare seat next in the middle of a boy and girl

I'm gonna sit here over thinking

What if they think I'm weird ?
Are we all here for the same thing ?
What if they can hear what I'm saying?
What if I'm the only normal one?
What is normal ?
How did Ethan know where it was?
What's the point of being here?
Am I even in the right place?

"Good afternoon" he looks done at his clip board "it must be Sidney  I'm joe"

"Hi Joe"

"First things first lets get to know you so why do you think you're here?"

"Because i self harm"

"Well that's a great start because that is why you're here and some people don't understand that we're all here for the same reason but that doesn't mean you guys are all the same now what triggers you?"

"Many things I can't narrow it down life in general i guess"

"Thank you for opening up now I would like you to get to know the class everyone please stand up"

Why is Rochelle here she's barely even in secondary school

We talked about age differences and how- is Ronnie looking at me right now

Yep Ronnie is staring

And Ronnie ain't ugly but Ethan is so much hotter

We all get stupid white boards to write down emotions

The door burst open and everyone automatically start moving down a chair to make a space i do the same before Ronnie dives into the seat beside me

I roll my eyes

"Hi"

"Hello Ronnie"

"You remembered my name?"

"I remembered everyone's name "

"Oh so I'm not special"

"Considering we're in this group together I'm not sure if telling the truth will trigger you"

"Oh and I thought you liked me "

"I don't know you"

"Well you can get to "

"Fine then why are you actually here?"

"Hospital referred me"

"Oh cool same"

"Did you try kill yourself ?"

"Not really "

"Well i did"

"Well ok then"

"Your pretty hot you know"

"Well thanks ". Should i hit him with the i have a boyfriend nah "not so bad yourself"

"I always thought i was ugly to be honest"

"Well you're not "

"Thanks"

"Since Sidney and Ronnie have so much to talk about how about you tell us your emotions"

"I put down lonely and weird because I don't have much friends and weird because I don't know how to make them" Ronnie says

I stand but can't speak am I actually going to have a panic- Ronnie takes my board sitting me down and reading it for me I've never met a random person that would do that for me

"I put down emotionless and uneasy because the easiest way to deal with my emotions is to lock them away and uneasy because I'm in a new setting"

He sits back down "thank you so much"

At the end of the session joe comes to me

"You did very well today with being able to state the reason you're here there are many that have been here and not known why I'm grateful for your understanding see you next week"

I walk out texting Ethan that I'm done

"Hey Sidney " i hear from the corner of the hallway i walk over seeing Ronnie
He pulls me into him just a but too much i quickly put my hands on his shoulders pushing away from his grip on hand let's go of my waist and grabs my butt

"What the actual fuck Ronnie I have a boyfriend " I finally shoved him off me

"You didn't tell me-"

"Even if I didn't that what you just did is not normal " i push him again this time with more force

"None of us are"

"I get why you don't have friends"  i walk out and yet into the car with Ethan

"You ok?" He looks over at me

"Yeah"

Without saying anything he get out the car slamming the door after seeing Ronnie come out
