Audrey pulled out her gun and started to shoot the closest ones with Carl.
Without being able to help it, she yelled alerting Maggie, Glenn, Daryl and Rick to their existence. Audrey and Carl ran forward to get away.
Beth in the meanwhile was pulling herself up with an unconscious Michonne toward the top of the cliff. She pulled a branch that gave way making her and Michonne fall down again. Beth didn’t waste a second in getting up and pulling Michonne to the wall to try to start again. But before she could start to climb, she saw lights down the way and walkers coming toward them. She hurriedly dragged Michonne over to the bush and pulled her behind it, then found a broken branch and camouflaged them with it. Soon, she heard men teasing the walkers and dragging them on by.
“Come on now! We gotta get these suckers to Woodbury. They’re gonna come in handy for the Governor.” One man said by flashlight.
“All right now! Whatch these bit***! Ha, ha! Gov. knows how to work these things huh?!”
“Stop screwin’ around! Go! Hurry up! All a you!”
“What’s the matter Jamie?! No time for fun?”
Beth watched the men go down the path with walkers running after them. As soon as things quieted down, Beth heard another noise.
Audrey and Carl were running fast when suddenly they both looked back and rolled down the steep clay wall. Audrey assumed a tight ball like position and Carl rolled up next to her.
She groaned and held her shoulder. “Carl? You all right?”
He slowly sat up and looked around. “Yeah. You?”
“I’m ok.” She looked up to see the walkers trying to find them. “Stay as still as you can. Sneak over to the wall.”
Carl did as she said and let her follow him.
“Carl?! Audrey?!” Beth yelled out.
Audrey looked around and Carl saw Beth crawl out from under her hiding space. He immediately ran over swiftly to her and touched her arm. “Are you ok?”
“Yeah, I’m ok.”
“Where’s Michonne?” He asked.
“She’s over here. Unconscious. I think she hit her head on a rock.”
Audrey walked over keeping an eye on the walkers above. “Is there a way out? Other than climbing?”
“I think so. I saw some of the Governor’s men herding some walkers down that way.” Beth pointed in the direction.
Audrey tilted her head. “Walkers? Man that guys a freak.” Audrey said in a worried tone. She walked over to see Michonne fidgeting a bit as if she were having a bad dream.
“We need to get her back.” Carl said. “I say we take the route.”
Audrey looked at him. “You sure?”
“Yeah.”
“But, aren’t the rest gonna find us? Daryl and Maggie?” Beth asked.
