I walked into the apartment building with a grin on my face. I walked up to the front desk and smiled at the guy on shift.

"Hey, Toby. Any mail or messages?" I asked as I rested my hands on the countertop.

The guy looked up from his magazine and smiled at me.

"Afternoon, Ronnie. Yeah, there are a couple of things." He said as he turned around and grabbed a couple envelopes from Coop's and my little cubbyhole mail slot.

"Thanks." I said as I took the mail from him and looked through it.

"How's the little one doing?" Toby asked.

I looked up and smiled as I placed a hand on my large stomach.

"We're both doing quite fine today. And thanks for the mail. See you later, Toby." I said, before turning and heading for the elevators. I pressed the up button and the doors opened automatically. I walked in and pressed the button for the 6th floor. I leaned against the back wall as I watched the doors close, then the number of floors changed as the elevator rose.

I stood up straight as the little bell dinged as the elevator reached the 6th floor and the doors slid open. I walked out and headed for the apartment. Walking inside, I closed the door behind me and started to slide my jacket off. I turned and smiled as I saw Coop and Kat sitting on the couch.

"Hi, guys." I said brightly as I hung my jacket on the coat rack and walked towards them.

"Where you been?" Coop asked as he looked over from the TV.

"I was out getting a job." I said with a grin as I sunk into the black lounge chair in front of the big window in the main room.

"Where the hell would someone hire a pregnant woman that's 6 months along?" Kat asked as she looked over at me with an arched eyebrow.

"Art Academy. I thought it would be a good place since I can be sit the whole time since I'd be painting, plus I can't wait to paint again. I almost forgot how much I loved doing it." I said with a smile.

"Yeah, so, anyways. I start work on Monday. The manager said that she could use some help, and it was going to be a lot of help since I knew what everything was and all that. She doesn't even care that I'll have to leave in about a month. She's going to give me paid leave, then wants me to come back as soon as the baby is old enough." I explained to them.

"That's great!" Kat said with a smile.

"Yeah, now you can help pay the bills." Coop said with a wink.

I chuckled and leaned towards him. "Speaking of which." I said as I handed him the mail.

"Great, thanks!" he said sarcastically as he took them and got up. I smiled and shook my head as I got up and took his vacated spot as he headed for his little office, probably to start working on the bills.

"Hey, Kit Kat. Whatcha doin?" I said as I propped my feet up on the coffee table and leaned back.

"Watching The Ellen Show." She said as she turned back to the TV.

"Yay! I love Ellen!" I said like a little kid as I started watching as well.

"Me too!" Kat said back just like I had, making us both laugh. We started laughing harder as we watched Ellen talk to Jake Gyllenhaal.

My eyes fluttered open and I yawned as I heard Kat's phone start ringing. I looked around as she flipped it open and answered it. It was dark out, meaning that I had fallen asleep and had been that way for a while. I looked over at Kat as she started laughing.
