I'd been feeling really ill for the last couple of days but today was something out of the ordinary. I felt my head about to explode but ignored the pain and my bones hurt slightly too. I hadn't told anyone because I didnt want them to get worried but Kat definitely noticed it.

"Ronnie, you okay? U seem a little...not you." She said, looking at me worriedly.

"Yeah, I've just been feeling ill lately. I think its another one of those werewolf sicknesses because it definitely doesnt feel like the flu." I said, laughing a little.

Kat's face went pale as she looked at me with fear in her eyes. "Why are you laughing about this? Why didnt you tell me? You can't die!" she exclaimed.

"I'm not going to die!" I retorted.

"But you were infected!" she shot at me.

"That just means that we need to figure out how the hell to fix this. I am not going to die, Kat. Just relax." As we walked towards my car, I suddenly sneezed.

"Bless you." Kat said as she walked around to the passenger's side.

"Thanks." I replied as I opened my door and got into the car. Kat nodded as I started the car up and drove off towards home.

Kat and I walked into the house and headed straight into the living room. Jacob and Embry were sitting there, entertaining Haley.

"Hey, guys. Hi, my little angel!" I greeted them as I scooped Haley up off Jacob's lap and held her close as I bounced her.

"How was the patrol?" Embry asked as Kat sat down next to him and he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"Cut short, Ronnie wasn't feeling well 'cause she's got a werewolf sickness, so now she's going to die." Kat told them.

"What?!" Jacob exclaimed as he looked up at me in shock.

"I'm not going to die. I'll be fine. I just need to figure out how to cure myself." I told them, shooting Kat a glare. She just shrugged and leaned against Embry.

"Well, then we better get to work. C'mon." Jacob said as he walked out of the room.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" I asked curiously as I followed him towards my room.

"Because I can't lose you." He said as he walked into my room and went over to my laptop.

I smiled lightly as I followed him over and leaned against the desk.

"Jacob, you're not going to lose me. I'm going to be fine." I told him as I laid a hand on his shoulder. Jacob looked up at me and nodded.

"I know, but I don't want to take any chances." He said, before he started typing away on my laptop. I smiled lightly, before resituating Haley in my arms and walking towards my bookshelf. I scanned the titles and picked a couple of books that might be helpful, before heading over to my bed. I sat down in the middle, cross-legged, and laid Haley down in my lap as I set the books in front of me.

"This is going to be fun." I mumbled as I grabbed a book and opened it up.

After a while, Jacob and I had moved out to the living room with the others. Jacob and Embry were working on the laptops at the table while Kat and I were pouring over books on the couch.

"Damnit!" Jacob muttered suddenly. Kat and I looked over the couch at him and saw him walking towards us.

"Do you have an extra battery for the laptop?" he asked as he crouched down in front of me.
