So here we are, the final chapter and epilogue of the book. I hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I did xD The only thing that bothered me with this story was that I seem to manage the beginnings of the stories really well, then the body chapters seem to lose some spark and so does the concluding chapter. It would really help if you told me what you thought about it. I'll definately read what you have to say about it. Anyways, enjoy the final chapter and please read the end paragraph/ autor's note at the end, 'tis of mighty importance!
The Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin started playing, I sat back again and went back to watching Jacob. He looked over and shot me a grin, before reaching over and resting a hand on my knee. A smile spread across my lips as I placed a hand over his, my other hand fingering my necklace that Jacob had given back to me.
Jacob and I laid in bed the day after our steamy reunion, wrapped up in each others arms.
"Oh, I almost forgot. I have something for you." Jacob said suddenly, before shifting and leaning over the side of the bed. I propped myself up on my elbows as I watched him grab his jeans from the night before and reach into the front left pocket.
"C'mon, where are you...Ah, here we go." He said as he finally found what he was looking for and pulled it out. I looked at him curiously as he laid back against the pillows again. He just smiled up at me, not doing anything.
"Well?" I asked with an arched eyebrow. Jacob didn't say a word, but just lifted his hand, which was curled into a fist, and opened it. I watched a silver chain dropped down. As it stopped swinging from his fingers, I realized that it was my heart pendant that he had given me for our four month anniversary.
"Oh, Jacob..." I breathed out as I took it in my hand and stared at it. "You kept it?" I asked softly, remembering how I had given it back to him just before leaving him.
"Yeah. I always hoped that we would get back together someday, and if we wouldn't, that I would always be thinking of you." He said, making my heart ache at how romantic and utterly sweet he truly was.
Here, let me help you put it on." He said as he gently took the necklace from my hands. I twisted so that my back was to him and lifted my short hair up away from my neck. I felt the cold metal of the chain against my neck as he put it on me and felt the light weight of it after he had clasped it. Turning around to face him, I smiled as I looked down on it.
"There, back in it's rightful place." Jacob said as I looked over at him. My smile grew as I leaned over and pressed my lips to his.
