Chapter 1: The journey begins!

Your P.O.V

"Get outta my way Green!" Today was the day I was gonna get my starter Pokémon and begin my journey, I woke up late and soon I found myself running into the last person I wanted to bump into today, Green Shigeru Oak. "Hey shrimp! No hello for me?" He chuckled teasing me once more.
I rolled my eyes "Sorry you aren't worth my breath" I laughed noticing Green's annoyed look. "Hmph whatever, well I already got my starter. Gramps' saved a special one for me" Green looked proud smirking down on me. I rolled my eyes and walked past him to Professor Oak's lab.I swore to myself I heard him say something before he walked away to find Red. I still wondered where Red went, well I was kinda late so he must've left on his journey already. I stepped into the lab brimming with excitement. "Hey professor! I'm here for my starter!" "Ah good to see you again Y/N! You are the last of your friends to get your starter! I've saved three choices for you!" The professor turned to see me smiling and heads over to a table, on it there were three pokeballs. "Well I may or may not have overslept. But don't worry! I will definitely surpass those two boys!" "Especially that stupid porcupine..."I thought to myself. I walked to the table after Professor Oak he was laughing at my response. "Please choose one Y/N and here is your Pokedex"My eyes gleamed with excitement as I took my pokedex from the professor. Professor Oak was always kind to me and to be honest I sometimes kinda wish I was his granddaughter instead of that stupid Green. But I wasn't gonna let that no-brained Green get in the way of my happiness right now! "Thank you so much Professor Oak! Alright! I'm gonna choose..."
