Chapter 22:Remember

Your P.O.V

Red already left for Mt. Silver, Blue had gone to Sinnoh, and Daisy was busy. Me and Green were the only ones left. We decided we would leave in two days, giving us some time to enjoy and pack. We wouldn't be home for a while so I decided to spend the day with my grandparents. We were playing with all the Pokémon till they left to go to Professor Oak. I wonder what are they have to talk about? Green came in, after visiting the lab. Great, it was just the two of us and our Pokémon. Mew chuckled at us and I looked at Mew confused as it became invisible. "So Shrimp, what do you want to do?"
"Want to go back to our casual ice cream stand Green?" He nodded and we headed out. It was quiet, but a comfortable quiet. We got to the stand and I ordered a (favorite flavor) cone and Green ordered a mint chocolate chip one. We sat at a table near the window and it was quiet, but this quiet was an awkward kind of quiet. Well, at least for me... "Shrimp, you haven't said a single word, is something wrong with you? Are you sick?" Green looked at me with confusion and I just laughed. "I'm fine! But since when did the Porcupine care for others?" I kept laughing as a pink blush crept up his cheeks. "Shut up Y/N..." He looked away and I kept laughing. Suddenly Daisy burst in through the door. "Y/N! Green! It's your grandfather Y/N! He collapsed!" My eyes went wide "Did Nurse Joy come yet?!?" Daisy shook her head and I ran out, finishing my cone. (Why let good food go to waste? XD) "Should I go get Nurse Joy from the nearby town?" Daisy nodded. I called out Charizard and flew to get Nurse Joy. Mew flew by me with a look of worry.

~Flashback~

"Grandpa? What's gonna happen to Mommy and Daddy? Are they gonna wake up?" Grandpa nodded his head sadly, he brought me to their house and all three of us were just crying together. It was hard, something a young child should've never witnessed.
"Y/N, from now on, you will be living with us." Little me nodded slowly. "Grandma! Grandpa!" I hugged them and just drifted off, as we all cried ourselves to sleep.

~Flashback end~

I was crying, Mew was sitting in front of me on Charizard, I spotted Nurse Joy and flew down. "Nurse Joy!"

~Timeskip~

I was crying, and once again, Green was comforting me. It's been a few hours since Nurse Joy went in there...in really worried!

Grandfather's P.O.V

"I'm sorry sir, there's nothing I can do" Nurse Joy looked at me sadly, and I just smiled. "It's alright dear, but how much longer do I have?" Nurse Joy looked at me once more,"Till tomorrow if you are lucky...I must go now, shall I call your granddaughter for you?" I nodded. I stared up at the ceiling till
Y/N burst in. "Grandpa! What did Nurse Joy say?! She looked so sad!"
Y/N was tearing up and she walked over to me and I cupped her cheek. "I don't have long sweetheart...but let me tell you, Green is a keeper don't ever lose him alright?" She was sobbing now while I smiled sadly. "Y-you knew grandpa?" She looked up to me and I wiped away some of her tears. "Y/N, I'm your grandpa, of course I would know" I chuckled lightly with Y/N. "of course Grandpa" I stroked her hair as my wife and everyone else came in. Green went over to Y/N and she cried into his shoulder, night was falling and I didn't have long. "I just wanted you all to know, I shall never forget. To my two precious girls, stay strong for me and keep living on for me" My wife was leaning against me crying, there are worst ways to go and I'm lucky to go this way, peacefully with all my friends and family. Professor Oak and Daisy were sitting beside my bed and Y/N and Green were sitting in my bed. I should at least try to lighten up this place right? "I'm sorry Y/N and Green that I'll never be able to see my Great-Grandchildren" Instantly the two blushed and us adults were all laughing. I hugged my grandchildren, yes Green as well, my wife, and everyone in that room with me, I looked at all the Pokémon and we heard a soft sob in the corner which was mew, we hugged and it fell asleep in my arms when I had Y/N and Green sleeping on one side of me then my wife, Professor Oak, and Daisy on the other

~Timeskip~

Your P.O.V
"Grandpa?" I shook him "Grandpa?!" I shook him again. "GRANDPA!!!" At this point everyone had woken up, I checked his pulse while everyone looked at me. I shook my head and we all started crying. "He went peacefully and happily...he saw his children avenged and he drifted off for good." Grandma hugged me through sobs along with Green and the other Oaks. Grandpa was happy now right? I mean he would always be here with us right? In our hearts? I Kaye's beside him, crying onto the side of his bed, he went with a smile, a smile that was still there. I had everyone, and he approved of Porcupine...Grandpa? I'll miss you, I'll miss you a lot but you will always be in my heart...
