"Finally, we are all here," Vee said as Noah, Harper, Jason, and I all sat down at the dining table. "I would like to make a toast dedicated to safety, that we will never loose someone for as long as we did Noah, Macey, and Harper." Everyone raised their glasses. I heisted at first, but then quickly picked up my glass with my shaky hands. I looked across the table were Noah was sitting, seeing that he was staring down at his plate. His glass still on the table.

"Is everything okay Noah?" Vee asked setting her glass down by her plate. Noah looked up at me, a cold look in his face. Something in his face told me he was angry, but also deadly afraid. But what could he be afraid of? He wasn't going back to the institution, was he? Maybe the people there double crosses us or something like that. Who knows, their crazy.

"No, I don't think I can do this," Noah stood up and walked out of the room. Since we had been back, he hadn't talked that much to anyone. Not even Jason or Harper, I just figured he was a suffer in silence guy. Also, he was in an empty cell for like 4 years, that has to have an impact on any sane person.

"No, no, no," Vee said putting her head in her hands. "All I wanted was a normal dinner. All I want is for things to back to the way they were. When we were all so happy." She said letting a tear slip out of her eye.

"It's never going to go back to that way, and you know that," Jason said rubbing her back. They must have gotten pretty close when their brother disappeared. I imagine. Especially with Charles always being gone on business trips.

"That's what scares me," she said. I turned to face Harper, who had now focused her attention on her plate.

"You should try to talk to him, Noah," she said and looked up to me with a sad face. Her eyes were red and her face was flushed, it looked like she had just cried. "He won't talk to anyone else, maybe he would want to talk to someone he was in with." She looked down,      "And he feels terrible for what he did. He really does."

I stood up from the table and walked over to Jason, "I'm going to talk to him," he nodded his head silently as he looked down at Vee. I bent down and kissed his check lightly, a sign of how much I care for him.

I left the dining hall quietly as I made my way up the elevator and to Noah's room. It looked like all the others, only newer. If that makes sense. It was cleaner and looked untouched by humans. It looked like it didn't belong in this world, and in a way, it didn't. I knocked quietly, patiently awaiting the response.

"Come in," I heard the muffled words come from the other side of the door moments after I knocked. I stepped in, observing the grey surrounding. No wonder he was so gloomy, his room looked like a thunder cloud. The bed was the only this with a little bit of color, with a light grey blue comforter.

"Tell me what they promised you," Noah said as he looked at me with a look that could kill.

"W-w-what," I stuttered stepping back towards the door.

"Please Macey, they blackmailed you, didn't they," he said as he sat on the bed. "I know they did something, because that's what they did to Harper and me." I looked at him, he was dead serious, no sign of joke in his tone. My eyes widened, what was I going to do now?
