The cell they had put me in was ice cold. The walls, the floor, the bars, everything. If I touched anything other than the bed I was sitting on, then my fingers would turn purple.

I had so much time to think in here. I got to think about Jason and Vee. I wonder if they will look for me, but they probably have better things to do. I remember Jason telling me about his brother, he was taken by this same sickening organization, the one that made him fall in love with a girl then she ruined it by turning him in.

If they did look for me, they wouldn't find me. Jason said that it was four years ago when they had disappeared. I wish I could ask him now why he stopped looking. If you love someone, you should never give up and expect the worst. Your love has to go that extra mile and know that you need to do everything in your power to save them.

"Time for more questioning," the guard that had put me in the cell was back opening up the gate. He had a large pair of army boots on, probably the reason why he could walk on the cold floor. I had battered tennis shoes, that had holes surfacing on the sides from the past few weeks of adventure. Hazelwood, I think his name was, picked me up and swung me over his shoulder. "No fighting back this time, there are guards located at every door to make sure you can't escape." I stayed silent, something that I wished to continue for the rest of today.

When we reached the room Hazelwood placed me in a chair that was in front of a projector. Once I was seated, he stood up and left the room. Garlitz, the man who spit in my face yesterday, walked in five seconds after Hazlewood. "Now, we are going to try this again. This time though, I think you'll be more willing to share." He said walking over to the projector and flipping it on.

"Your friends, Jason and Vee, are looking for you," I gulped, I was happy that they were, but if this organization knew they were looking, that was worse. "See," he said tilting his head toward the screen, where Jason, Vee, and Charles stood. They were standing where the van was that took me, the last place they could smell of me.

"We know about them, they are spectacular at keeping distance from us. Their building that they live in is only accessible by people they they let in. The magic is unheard of. No one knows how they do it." He showed a picture now of me walking into the building, followed by Jason.

"They don't interact with humans, maybe to get gas, but never a full length conversation. So tell us why, you, a human, were with them like an old family member," he said switching the projector off and sitting on the table in front of me. I knew the answer, the life debt, even though I knew Jason didn't care about it now, it was the reason I ended up in there car going to Portland. It was the only thing keeping him from eating me.

"There will be consequences if you don't talk," he grabbed my chin with his two boney fingers and pushed my chin up. "Anything you want to add," I turned my head to the side, shoving his fingers off my chin as I grunted.

"Fine have it your way, Hazelwood, take her to Noah and prepare her for Dr. Divide." I hadn't even realized that Hazlewood had come into the room until he was at my side with another vile, this one electric blue.

"Say night night sweetheart," he said before my vision started blacking out. Not again.
