Dean's POV
I look out onto the water until I see Cas crying. My heart breaks. I get down from the lifeguard chair and walk over to him.

"Cas?" I call.

He looks at me with blood shot eyes and a tear stained face.

He runs over to me and hugs me tightly. I hug him back and try to calm him down.

"Cas, it's ok. What's wrong? What happened? Did someone hurt you? Please, stop crying. I hate seeing you like this." I say calmly.

"My...life...is...over." He cries into my shoulder.

"Cas, what are you talking about? What do you mean your life is over?" I asked as I held him tightly.

"My...tail. My...powers. It's all gone, Dean. It's all gone." He cried even harder.

I pulled away from looked him in the eyes.

"Cas, what do you mean? How?" I asked, scared to hear the answer.

"Last night, it was around 12:30. I felt Lisa's connection. It was a strong connection. So, I went to the beach and literally sped to where she might be. Which, she was far away from here at the time. As I got closer, the connection got stronger and stronger. When I finally got to where she was, there was this figure in the water in front of her. I swam to closer to get a closer look and what I saw was a water dragon. A water dragon is a dragon that takes away everything that makes you a mer person. Your tail, your powers, and connections. It takes all of it. It does that by spraying you with hot water and it struck Lisa. I caught her before she could go down further and I decided to try and do something but when I to the surface of the water, the dragon struck me as well. So, now we're both human. But there has to be a way to get our tails back. I just don't know how and it makes really sad that I don't have a tail anymore. I want my tail back. I want everything to be back to normal." He explained and cried as he said the last part.

I hugged him tightly again.

"Oh my god, Cas. That's awful. I'm so sorry, Cas." I said while comforting him.

"It's not your fault, Dean." He said as he softly cried on my shoulder.

I let go of him and he wipes his tears away.

"Hey, why are you working today? I thought you might have off today since it's the weekend." He asks.

I chuckled light and said "Sadly Cas, it doesn't work that way. You work whenever you're supposed to work. Even if it's the weekend. Plus, I don't mind working on the weekends. At least I'm making money so I can pay for my house and keep food in both our mouths. Now Lisa's as well."

"Ah I see. Thank you so much for taking care of me for however long it's been. It really means a lot to me. You're an amazing person, Dean." He smiled.

"Hey, there's that smile!" I smiled as well.

"Well, I better get back to work. Just try to calm down. We'll figure out how to get both your tails back, ok Cas?" I said.

"Thank you so much, Dean. You're such a good friend." He said.

"You're a good friend as well." I smiled.
