Cas' POV
*THUD*
I'm being tackled to the ground by someone. I turn my head to see who it is and my heart rapidly beat inside my chest. I gasped. I couldn't believe it.
Dean's POV
"Hey, don't hurt my Cas!" I yelled at the guy but he didn't stop.
"STOP!" I yelled and suddenly, he did.
He turned around to face me and my heart rapidly pounded inside my chest. I couldn't believe it. How could this be?
It was Ryan.
Everyone crowded around us to see what was going to happen next.
"Did you just say "My Cas?" He asked with an evil smirk playing on his lips.
I didn't speak for a few minutes. Then, I responded.
"No." I simply lied.
"Well, well, well! I always figured he was gay but now he finally has a boyfriend. Surprisingly." He smirked.
"He's not my boyfriend! We're just friends!" I yelled.
"Yeah, friends." He mocked and rolled his eyes.
Cas' POV
'He's not my boyfriend, we're just friends.' Dean says. But how can say that we're just friends? He's kissed me 2 or 3 times already and he's never said anything about it afterwards. You don't randomly kiss your friends on the lips.
"Aww, Dean. Look, you made your boyfriend sad." He mocked as he looked down at me.
"I'm not sad, Ryan. For the record, Dean and I ARE just friends. Nothing else. So just leave it alone." I growled at him.
"Hey, you better watch your tone with me or else." He threatened.
"Or else what?" I retorted coldly.
"Or else, everyone on this beach, will know your secret." He said in a low, deep voice.
"What secret?" I mocked him.
"T-" he stopped talking when he suddenly got splashed with water.
"This isn't over, Castiel. You and your boyfriend will pay for this!" He said before running off into the ocean.
I look at Dean who's holding an empty sippy cup in his right hand.
"Are you ok, Cas?" He asked, concernedly.
He reached out a hand to help me up and I took it. Once I was back on my feet again I let go of his hand and thanked him for what he did.
"You're welcome, Cas. Anything for my friend." He smiled.
I smiled. We looked at each other for a few seconds. We heard someone yell "JUST KISS ALREADY, WILL YA!"
We looked away and I blushed furiously. I was also smirking a little bit. My face felt extremely hot.
"I better get back to work. I'll see you later, Cas." He said before walking away, neither of us making eye contact.
{7:00 p.m}
Dean's POV
My shift was over now and it was finally time for Cas, Lisa, and I to head back home. Cas and Lisa had decided to stay at the beach with me because they both said that they felt protected with me.
I got down from the lifeguard chair and walked over to where Lisa and Cas were. They had become incredibly good friends and I was happy for them both. Everyone needs that one friend that completes them like none of the other friends.
"Hey guys!" I say as I get closer to them.
"Hey Dean, I'm just going to go to the bathroom before we go. Bye guys." She said before walking off.
Once she walked away Cas and I were left in awkward silence. Neither of us talking or even moving. We weren't even looking at each other.
Cas was the first one to speak up.
"W-we should probably wait here for Lisa even though she told us to go. I mean, you never know when Ryan might show up again." Cas said.
"Right." I agreed.
I looked at him and I was entranced by his light blue eyes. Our eyes were locked on each other. I started getting this feeling in the bottom of my stomach and I didn't know what it was. Before I could comprehend what I was doing, I felt myself leaning in. I tried to stop myself from moving closer but my body wouldn't let me.
He closed his eyes and soon, I closed mine. Then, I felt my lips on his. His soft, perfect lips on mine.
The kiss started off soft and slow but soon became more passionate. I deepened the kiss and he did the same. I cupped Cas' face in my face and brought him closer to me. Our tongues exploring each other's mouths. We fought for dominance and I won. We kissed for a few more seconds before coming up for breath.
My stomach felt like there was a million butterflies in it. My heart pounded rapidly.
"Dean?" Cas said.
"Yeah, Cas?" I asked.
"There's something I've been wanting to tell you for a very long time. I've just been scared to say it." He confessed.
"Ok. What do you need to tell me?"
"I love you, Dean." He said.
I stood there for a few seconds, my mouth open.
"Do you feel the same way about me?" He asked, scared.
