"Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving."

Tyler sat his painting aside to dry as he stood up and stretched his aching limbs as he listened for the cracks of his joints.
"You're so beautiful; your mind, your body, you art, your voice, you...," Josh commented as he watched the small brunet in front of him stretch with a small yawn.
"Thank you, you aren't so bad yourself, Joshua," Tyler smiled widely as his crooked teeth were put on full display.
"Can you paint on me again?"
Tyler thought about it before smiling with a small nod, "yeah, what would you like?"
"Surprise me," Josh smiled as he watched Tyler grab new paints from the shelf above his head and new paint brushes.
"Okay go ahead and lay down on your stomach in the floor and I'll get started," Tyler promised as he went upon his tippy toes to retrieve the paints he needed.
It wasn't hard for Tyler to think about what he would be painting on Josh, he already had it planned out from the very moment Josh asked.
"It's going to be cold, but try to stay as still as you can," Tyler instructed as he slowly seated himself on Josh's legs after placing his paints beside of him.
The smaller boy started out by dipping a brush into the black paint and staring a small semi circle just above the dip in his back.
Josh slightly arched upwards with a gasp as the cold paint first came into contact with his skin, but soon relaxed against the carpet again under Tyler's gentle hands.
"The freckles on your back are my favorite work of art," Tyler mumbled slightly entranced in his work, but also paying attention to Josh.
"They're not art, and no where near as beautiful as your works," Josh replied as he hummed slightly as the brush on his back paused and he heard Tyler cleaning the brush.
"They're a natural art, like mountains and the sky; they are art and they're my favorite," Tyler argued as he dipped the now clean brush into a golden yellow.
"Josh, I need to tell you something," Tyler said calmly as he started cleaned his brush again.
"Mhm?" Josh hummed as he rested his cheek against the navy blue carpet under him.
Tyler took his time with answering; drying the bush before dipping it into a dark shade of orange and going back to work.
"I applied to Harvey Mudd and I was accepted," Tyler said as he kept his eyes focused on the work at hand.
"That's amazing, Ty," Josh said with an honest smile as he waited for Tyler to continue with his story.
"I'm leaving in three days," Tyler said nonchalantly as he started adding small but important details to his art work, "I'll be gone for two years."
Josh swallowed thickly as he forced the lump forming in his throat down and smiled anyways.
"Oh is that so?"
"Yeah, I'm traveling to different countries and stuff to represent them through my art. It's my dream," Tyler finished as he crawled off of Josh and started putting his things away.
Josh watched on while trying to mask how hurt he actually was, he couldn't tell him not to go, it was his dream.
"I'm happy for you, Ty," Josh said with a forced smile as Tyler smiled back. He was secretly hurt Josh wasn't asking him to stay; he was kind of hoping Josh would want him to stay, but it's for the better.
"Thanks Joshie," Tyler smiled as he motioned for Josh to turn around with his finger as he pulled out his phone and took a picture of the art work he created along Josh's back.
"It's beautiful," Josh muttered as he inspected the photo in front of him.
"Thank you."
Josh leaned in and pressed a kiss to Tyler's lips, and Tyler embraced the way Josh's lips felt against his own as he gave in to the older man.
He knows he shouldn't be doing this, but for Josh he was weak.
A little fun before he left wouldn't hurt, right?
