Chapter 11

I awoke cocooned in warmth, and looked up to see Sky looking at me warmth in his gaze, I stretched slightly, and smiled at him “ hi” I said softly, I could felt his chest rumbling as he chuckled against me, looking at him I felt my own emotions reflected back at me, it would take a while for it to settle in that we were now mates, after having such a shitty start to life we managed to grab on to a saving grace, I could never thank the Moon Goddess enough for her gift to both me and Sky and I knew that whatever upcoming part I had to play I would perform to the best of my abilities try and give back some small part of what I have received. Getting up I headed to the bathroom so I could get a look at my new mark, excitement was coursing through me as I drew my shirt away from my neck so it was unobstructed.

I gasped as I saw it pride coursing through both me and my wolf, there on my shoulder sat both of our wolves, my wolf was white, with a tint of silver on the edges of my fur, whilst, Sky had a midnight blue wolf, I had always thought he was beautiful but seeing our wolves together I saw how well we complimented each other, whilst my wolf form was laying down, his wolf stood protective over me whilst both our noses were touching, I couldn’t help but get a thrill when I saw it, I felt sky come up behind me, he wrap both his arms around me and kissed his mark, I could feel the pride coursing through him, as he felt my body shiver against him, that area would always be sensitive to him. 

We needed to go see the others and meet with Dean, as much as I was loathe to admit it, the reason we was here was to train his pack and deal with the upcoming rogue problem, therefore he had to be clued in, and a strategy had to be put into place, the security was an issue and it had yet to be discussed, how bad the rogue problem was and the current status and progress that they have been making. We linked the rest of our pack, and told Michael that he should call Dean as well so we wouldn’t have to repeat ourselves, as we made our way out of the room and down the stairs together, our hands entwined, the need to stay connected was still strong.

We met in Dean’s office and I couldn’t smother the grin that made its way to my face when I saw that some of the marks he got yesterday from our training session was still healing, I had previously discussed things with Nia and from what I had gathered his wolf was angry at him over the rejection and the fact that we had accepted it and wanted nothing to do with them, so his slow healing was down to his wolf not healing him fast enough, I did feel sorry for his wolf, but then again Nia was right he should have tried harder and made more of an effort, not that I minded now, because I had Sky and I felt that we had to go through everything we had in order to truly appreciate what we had gotten.

We sat with the others and I noticed Deans eyes travel over me and hover over my newly acquired mark, his jaw clenched and his fists clenched with his knuckles whitening, his wolf must have realised we no longer had the original mating bond because his body went slack as though the fight had gone out of him, kind of anti-climatic if you ask me, I wouldn’t have minded another beat down, but I realised I had to be more mature doesn’t mean I couldn’t think of all the ways I wanted to torture him, I wouldn’t mind chopping his balls off and putting them in a blender, I felt Sky wince next to me, it took me a minute to realise and then…”babe I can hear everything now that I’ve marked you, and the blender really? No way are you going anywhere near his junk” he growled through our link and I discretely rubbed his knee, to calm him down.

Considering I never had a normal mate relationship this was all new to me I had to remember not to provoke a response that will get his wolf riled up, and I had to speak to Jenna afterwards about blocking techniques, there are some things that should stay safely in my head with no eavesdroppers.

We informed Dean about the rogue warning and made plans to up security on the perimeter and issue, a curfew for the pack until we have a handle on what exactly is going on, so far it’s been hinted at but nothing concrete has been established apart from the missing females. Training would go ahead as planned, scouts and trackers would be sent out in groups of 5 to try and gather information on the rogue situation, whilst Mikey and Dean made plans to phone around as discuss and insight the other neighbouring Alpha’s might have.
