Getting the Alphas to agree had been the first hurdle to get across, after their agreement plans had to be made, training strategies had to be figured out and we had to send out spies to monitor the current status of the rogues. Up until this point we hadn’t encountered them, rogues that were too far gone had a habit of attacking packs or members they found when venturing into pack territories, the fact that there had been no reports of attacks was worrying, the change in nature seemed to enforce even more the need to strategize and plan for the upcoming battle, we had under two months to try and prepare ourselves and our packs, which wasn’t a lot in the scheme of things.

I caught Kade on my way down the stairs going into the kitchen, we hadn’t really had that much time to talk and I asked him how he was getting along with Sophie, I wanted to meet her, properly, I had seen her a few times , we had greeted each other and had informal introductions so to speak, but we needed to have a sit down in a more social setting, considering she would be my future sister-in-law and she was the packs Beta female, from what I had gathered from my interaction with her she was really nice definitely more down to earth than most females I have spoken with, I could see myself getting along really well with her, she was definitely the kind of person that belonged with my brother, she would help him stay grounded.

After a quick bite to eat I made my way to the office, needing to check up on Sky and the progress he and the other Alphas had made, opening the door, I felt like I had descended into chaos, they seemed to be in an intense argument and a few of them looked like they were on the verge of shifting, if they hadn’t have been Alphas I would have been even more worried, because normal male wolves have even less control over their responses, I linked with Ellie and asked if she could find Kelly, Jenna and Larissa and send them to the office, before I entering. I walked over to where Sky stood and placed my hand on his back, I felt his body relax slightly under my touch, although I could feel that his wolf was still on edge.

The thing is, with 7 Alphas all in one room, it was pretty much a lost cause, their dominant nature wouldn’t allow them to back down, and if either of them had tried telling each other what to do, which I suspect is what happened, I heard a knock at the door and the girls rushed in and over to their mates trying to calm them down, the other three Alpha’s seemed to calm, but were still on edge, I managed to gather from Sky that the tension was them trying to come up with a way to combine the packs, and battle strategies, with seven big personalities each had a different method of attack, and their wolves wouldn’t like the feeling of being outdone, or out strategized, we finally had the guys calmed down enough, I motioned for them all to go into the meeting room, the office was too cramped.

Clearing my throat I looked over at them, “this isn’t going to work having all of you in the pack house, the whole reason the king divided up the wolves into different territories was because Alpha wolves don’t do to well together, the need to dominate overrides sensibility” I admonished, they all had the grace to look slightly shamed, “ I don’t think that having all five packs move down here would be the best idea either, we don’t have the space and it would look to suspicious having thousands of people flocking down, we already have the Silverwood pack combined for the time being, the closest two packs are the Red Crescent Pack and the Bluestone Pack so Alpha Lane and Marshall I think as the two Alpha’s living the furthest you should relocate, for a limited period” with Alpha Lane being closer in age and mind-set to Alpha Cole he was the relocation wouldn’t be too strenuous, and decisions could be better made, both Kelly and Larissa seemed to get on so the move for them would be accepted, since an alliance had already been formed.
