Hey guy’s sorry it was a bit of a wait, I needed to make the battle scene as good as I could so I needed to work my imagination a bit, and draw inspiration from somewhere, I hope it lives up to expectations, so here it is the much awaited battle scene!

The other packs had arrived, and the tension all around was thick, the realisation of what was about to happen and the deadline of the battle drawing near had everyone on edge. The battle was to commence in 3 days, meetings were conducted each day along with intense training sessions to ensure that everything went ahead as normal, and we had all bases covered. The security on the perimeter was maximised, having five packs in one territory helped with rotation and more ground was covered, the scouts and trackers that were sent out to monitor the rogues, were called back and confirmed the final count on the number of rogues, they had over a 1000 rogues, between us we had 1300 wolves, but we had to consider the fact that some of the females would not be fighting, lessening our numbers to 1100, leaving us more or less even with the rogues coming, we didn’t hold any advantage. We left the evenings, free for all the packs to spend with their loved ones, I tried not to dwell too much on thoughts of the upcoming battle knowing that I would just have doubts and come up with unlikely scenarios.

The night before the battle we had a gathering, to celebrate life and all it had to offer the blessings we had and the future that we were fighting for, the night was bittersweet, we knew that no matter the outcome tomorrow, our world would be forever changed, the moments that we shared with one another felt more like a goodbye and that was not what tonight was about, I called for attention.

“Hello, everyone, I have a few words I would like to say to you all. Judging from the emotions and feelings floating around the room, I can tell a lot of you don’t hold much hope for tomorrow, please don’t think that way, and don’t see this as a goodbye. Hold on to the thought, that all those you see around you will continue to be so. When you give up and give in to the idea that something is already settled the outcome is already set. I believe that the Moon Goddess would not thrust us into a battle that we could not overcome, tomorrow we will see everything come to an end, a better life for all our young to grow in. I’m proud to know each and every-one of you, who have all given up your time, and devoted everything you have to protecting one another, we fight for love and we fight for a new world. In the past our battles were fought as individuals, yet we stand here today united in cause, we are all one in body, soul and mind, joined with our wolves to create peace, in my eyes that is selfless, do not feel forsaken and do not lose hope in tomorrow. Know that I carry you all in my heart, and I look forward to seeing you when the battle is over.”

 I cleared me throat, feeling it clog in emotion, I saw the tears streaming some of the faces that stood in front of me I felt Sky wrap his arms around me.  Ellis stepped forward, I smiled a small smile at him which he returned, “I don’t know about all of you but I feel proud that I am part of something so big, Kadie has made history these last few months, doing what others had previously failed to do, we stand united and as one, because of you Kadie because you had the courage and the strength to follow through and complete your journey, even when the odds were stacked against you. When I agreed to fight against the rogues, a part of me was fighting with a deep seated need for revenge for all that my pack and I have been through, I can honestly say that isn’t the case today, I fight for our packs and I fight for you Kadie, I Alpha Ellis Cooper pledge my allegiance to you Luna Kadence Daniels”

He had gotten down on his knee and bared his neck to me almost a submission but not quite, the symbolic gesture here was one of alliance, he was tying himself to me, an age old tradition symbolising alliance, I gasped in shock and felt even more floored when I saw everyone slowly do the same, it looked like a domino effect. I could feel the shock and pride radiating from Sky who stood beside me, by declaring their allegiance, all the packs had agreed to fight for one another for us but not just in battle, we would forever have a connection with these packs that stood here today a pledge is a serious matter and cannot be rescinded, not only had the packs united for the battle making history, but they had forged an alliance so large, that it was the first time in history, since the age of the royals, that territory boundaries had been reformed making us truly one now.
