Chapter 22

Ok guys so don't hate me, but the Alpha meeting is going to be next chapter, I got in at 7 today, I want to write the Alpha meeting and I dont want to rush it, there has been a build up to this point and I feel like rushing it would suck for all of you guys, which is why I think it would be best for it to be done next chapter so I have a proper think and make it a good scene for all of you, I knew you were waiting for a release so I wrote this as a stage setter.

Enjoy.

The next couple of days that passed were challenging to say the least, I went to bed each day exhausted only to rise again the next morning and repeat the events of the day before. We had decided that training was the main focus, so we split both packs into their training groups, and instead of the divisions we had before, we went by strength and control, since putting the pack to the wolf enhancement exercise, their level of response and ability rose immensely.

Looking at our maximised efforts in training I noticed a change had taken over the pack, gone were the selfish one dimensional people that I grew up with, and in their stead stood kind and caring members each looking out for one another, we found that although we offered direction and insight to the pack in their training they often learnt best from the direction of their peers, and witnessing counter attacks.

The reform of the pack had me thinking about the rogue situation and wondering if a battle was really necessary, if maybe there was some way around all this, the words of the Moon Goddess kept echoing through my mind, about violence not always being the answer, and she was right. For now I had to concentrate and the Alpha situation, this was something I was keeping to myself until I had figured it out, it was more than likely that we would have to face a battle, but there should always be open options.

The representatives from the council arrived the day before, they were definitely an odd couple if ever I did see one, Amie-Lynne and her grandfather Grey arrived on the pack doorstep, leaving us somewhat befuddled, where Grey was old and wise definitely set in the past ways of running the pack, Amie-Lynne was young and open, with a modern day mind-set, they were complimentary to each other, although Amie-Lynne didn’t work for the council in an official capacity, she helped her grandfather make rounded decisions so judgement couldn’t be classified as biased.

Everything was explained to the pack, and we told them to be honest and normal, if changes had to be made so be it, creating a pretence leads to a series of irrevocable events. I was making my way to the office to speak to Sky, the Alpha’s were coming tomorrow and I needed to run some of my ideas by him, to be honest I knew they were lame, pressure in this area was not doing me any favours, as I hit the corner of the packhouse I came across a flustered Grey, upon seeing me he rushed over, “have you seen Amie-Lynne? She was supposed to meet me for lunch, but I haven’t seen her all afternoon” he cried out, “calm down, take a deep breath, and explain everything to me properly?” I spoke calmly to him leading him over to one of the benches.

“We were monitoring the pack as you know, when I decided to go and speak with the pack Elders, and Amie-Lynne told me she was going to go and see they the kid’s training session, she wanted to see how the pack trainers, handled the kids, she said she would meet me for lunch, but I haven’t seen her, and everyone I ask doesn’t seem to know either” he was dragging his fingers through his hair frantically, I felt sad just watching him, I lay a hand on his shoulder, “don’t worry I’m sure she is ok, let’s go see the pack trainers, I think it was the twin’s turn to monitor that session?” and I led him to where I saw Sonny sitting with a couple of kids, he was explaining the importance of your wolf, and the importance of looking out for those smaller than you I watched with a smile, him and Charlie were great with kids, when I saw him dismiss them.
