My head hurt where it got knocked against the cement, a tree, and probably a few other things. I had lost my phone but I didn't care. Gabriel was happy, I wasn't going to get in the way. I will keep my distance...and that hurt so much.
I let out another sob. Normally I didn't cry...I was mourning the loss of my possible mate.
Over the roar of the falls I didn't hear someone approach till a pair of pale arms wrapped around me and someone's head was pressed against my shoulder.
I jumped and looked over. Black hair.
"I'm sorry, Ivy. I'm sorry please don't cry I swear I didn't kiss her. I swear please don't leave." He was begging. I look at him in shock. "I didn't kiss her. She kissed me. I don't like her. I don't like anyone. Please." He hugged me tighter.
"Gabriel what are you doing here? How did you find me?" I ask, wiping the tears from my eyes.
He wouldn't look at me as he answered. "You're upset. You head for high ground when you're upset. The fall is the highest point in Serenity. I came to take you back. Ivy, I only love one person in the whole world outside of my family. Her name is Ivy. She has black hair and luminescent green eyes. She had my heart racing from day one and is the only person to send my nerves into shock with just a touch." when he looked up his eyes were misted over.
It took a minute for what he said to sink in. I hugged him tight.
"I love you too....I just...I wanted you to be happy."
His hug tightened. "You had me so worried. First not answering your phone...then the bike...are you Okay?" He looked at me closely.
I gave what I hoped was a convincing smile. "Yeah I'm fine. Just a little banged up. "
His eyes were unconvinced.
"I saw blood. Why aren't you bleeding anymore?"
I looked away from him. "You must have been mistaken, I'm not bleeding." I say getting up. "Well you found me...what are you going to do now?"
He got up and took my hand.
"I am going to take you home, we are going to sit at our Windows and we are going to talk all night." He says as he pulls me away from the water and down the hill. I stumbled a few times at which he caught me. I was light headed but I couldn't tell him that. We picked up his bike and started back towards the road. He kept a firm grip on my hand almost as if I was going to disappear.
My vision was starting to blur when we got to my bike. I stopped and started down into the ditch to get it. He walked down to help me but stopped.
"Ivy...this is blood." he says, wiping the bit that was on his finger off on the leg of his jeans.
"Yeah....I know...it's mine." and then everything went black.
