Chapter 18: Cat Fight

 We were late to class. I had to stop and grab three Monsters for Gabriel, He hadn't got more then maybe a hour of sleep before I had to wake him up. He was groggy. 
I slowed to a stop in the parking lot just as I heard the bell ring for us all to be in the classroom. I turn off the engine and wait for Gabriel to climb off. He was so sluggish it was like he was a zombie. I grabbed our stuff and made my way up to the doors when I noticed a small flicker out of the corner of my eyes. I could make out Long black hair, and darkly tinted skin turning sharply around the corner of the school. I broke away from Gabriel and to pursue our stalker. She was fast, but I was faster. I could hear Gabriel running after me. The distinct sound of a aluminum can hitting the concrete and the slap slap slap of his converse on the pavement. I caught the girl on the second turn and slammed her into the wall her face towards me. 
It was Raven.
As Gabriel ran up he slowed when he saw who it is. A look of anger and disgust crossed his face. Raven was thrashing against my grip and all but screaming to be let loose. My grip tightened. 
"What are you doing stalking us?" I ask getting up in her face I could smell the hint of dog on her skin.

She stopped thrashing and looked at me square on. "Us? I have no use to be stalking you. And I'm not stalking. I am making sure nothing bad happens to Gabriel. As I have since we were little." She says her mouth making a straight line. She made me want to smack the arrogance off her face. 
"Where were you when Jack was beating the crap out of him?" Her eyes got wide but she stood her ground. 
"I wasn't here that day. I had to stay home for a couple of hours." That made me smirk. 
"Either way. I am perfectly capable of taking care of my boyfriend on my own. So why don't you go and lick your wounds you mutt. Before I take you to get fixed and de-fanged. " I say throwing her hands into her stomach and turning to walk away. I got maybe three steps. 

I was hit from the back and knocked to the ground I could feel claws being racked down the length of my torso. I stand up and turn to catch Raven in the side of the head with my elbow. She stumbled back and let go of me. I walk and tower over her. I set my foot on her stomach and lean down. 
"As I said. Leave Gabriel and I alone or it will not be pleasant to you. " She went as far as to swipe her claws at me. They caught the skin of my cheek. I had three long jagged scrapes on the left side of my head. Now i was pissed. I saw the red tinge my eyes and felt my teeth and nails grow long and elongated. The mutt was about to regret the day she ever met me.  Tooth and Claws went flying at the other. Snarls and Growls were let loose. I was amazed no one from the school noticed. I saw Gabriel running towards the woods but i didn't understand what he was doing. I couldn't worry about it for now. Right now i had to fend for my own life. 

We were holding nothing back. We were both shredding each other. We were bloody and tired. We were biting and clawing at every chance we could get. It was a down right Cat fight. Only with one of the opponents being a dog. She got a lucky shot in and raked her nails across my cheek. Only to be met with a pair of my own claws digging into her neck. I didn't even notice when Gabriel came back holding a thick looking branch, or when he decided to smash it over Raven's head. 
She crumbled to the ground passed out. I looked up at Gabriel who was breathing heavily. He dropped the branch and looked at me. "Are you alright, Ivy?"
I nodded and stood up holding my arm were a deep gouge was at.He moved with incredible speed for a human. "Let's get you home, we can take our exams when you are better." He says walking with me back to my bike. I went to get on and he stopped me. "No Ivy. I'm driving. Your in no shape to be controlling that big metal monster. " He says taking the keys out of my hands. I let him climb on first then i climb on behind him. 
"Alright then push down on the clutch at the same time hit the gas lever but keep your hand clasped around the brake. " I instruct him on how to start my bike. 
It starts and he slowly pulls out of the parking lot.

He didn't do bad for his first time driving a motorcycle. We didn't crash or get road rash. He almost tipped the bike over on a sharp turn but for the most part it went smoothly. He slowed to a stop just outside my house and walked the bike up my drive way and into the garage. He helped me down and into the house, where he commenced to the house telephone and called my mother. She told him to have me lay down and wait. He sat with me on the couch. 
"So, boyfriend huh?" He asks watching the ceiling fan spin round and round. I looked over at him. 
"Oh you heard that huh? Sorry. " I say not really looking at him anymore but focusing on the wood of the staircase again. He stopped looking at the fan and turned to look at me. The look in his eyes were frantic. 
"Don't be sorry. Please don't say you didn't mean it either. I know you mean it, Ivy, you just wont admit it to yourself. Don't Lie to me. Tell me the truth." the look in his eyes was as sincere as the ocean is blue. 
"I-..." Then my vision went black.
