After a long well needed nap, i had to get up and move around just a bit. Gabriel had long since fallen asleep. I want to attribute this to the loss of blood he managed to get down my throat before I completely lost control. It's still a few weeks before the eclipse. I have to time this perfectly and if Raven is the one that tipped the Regem off I was looking for blood. Because of her, Gabriel could be in serious danger.
I looked over at him. He looked so child-like as he slept. I couldn't take the thought of never seeing him like that again. It's also why I couldn't tell him I loved him yet. Because what would happen if the Regem deemed me guilty....I would die...and hopefully they would leave him alone after that. Not that they would. He would be next and then the rest of my family. I just...it wasn't the right time to tell him.....who knows....I might never really be ready...
I guess the future will have to unfold before my eyes...for me to really see what's going to happen next.

It was late at night when Gabriel came too. I had been sitting on the couch or pacing in the kitchen. I even busied myself with cleaning the already clean dishes. Anything to keep me from panicking about what is going to happen. I know I need to tell him about the Regem and about my suspicions of Raven, but at the same time I didn't want to shock him, if i told him we would have to run, to never come back, that he would have to leave his father....it would just break his heart. I needed to find a different way to fix this.
"Ivy? What time is it?" He had asked as he sat up rubbing his head slightly.
"It's about 11:45 right now. Do you want me to walk you over to your house? Or do you want me to let your dad know you are going to be crashing on my couch again? " I ask setting a cup of hot tea in front of his face. He took it gratefully and sipped at it lightly.
He shrugged his shoulders and looked into his cup. "I don't know. Which would you prefer? I would rather make this as easy for you as possible. " He said, setting the steaming cup down on the coffee table.
"Alright I will have my mom call your dad and tell him you're staying over to help me finish a project and that she will make sure that we behave ourselves." I say with a bit of a laugh. He laughed himself. I watched as he tried to get up but wobbled on his feet, before sitting back down on the couch. It was amusing. I walked behind the couch and leaned over it so my head was next to Gabriel's. "Having a hard time there slick? Maybe you should relax and gain back some of the blood. " I say pulling on his shoulders so he sat back fully into the chair. He leaned back and closed his eyes and I kneaded my fingers into his shoulders making the tension in his muscles disappear. After a couple minutes he raised his hand to cover mine.
"My girlfriend is the best." He said interlocking our fingers. It brought me to the color of a very ripe tomato. He chuckled at me and let my hand go long enough to get up and walk around to my side. "Come on Im getting kinda hungry let's see what we can go scrounge up in the kitchen for a quick snack then we can talk about what is really bothering you."
I stopped dead in my tracks. "Wha-t do you mean, Gabriel?" I ask him my face stoic and emotionless. He looked at me and gave me a sly smile.
"Do not pretend to not know what I mean, Ivy. You attacked Raven with a viciousness that was unneeded, and you haven't been acting yourself since I went to sleep. If I am truly a part of this...then I need to know the truth....The whole truth. Not just snippets of information you think will satisfy my curiosity. I don't want anything between us..." He says with a smile leaving his face as he takes both my hands in his. I nod and look into his steely grey eyes. His mouth was in a thin firm line. I wasn't getting out of it this time.
"Alright. I will tell you everything. You just have to bare with me cause i don't know exactly how I want to explain this to you. I want to say it in a way that will scare you the least, and make the most sense. So Let's get you some food and something to drink and then let's go somewhere to talk cause I would rather not have more then one pair of ears listening in. Right Fein?" I say turning my head and a head popped out of the closet door.
"Damn it. I really wanted to see the look on his face." He says sulking back up the stairs to his room. Half way up he stopped and couched down to look at us thru the railing. "Are you sure I can't just tuck away and still see the look on his face? Please, Ivy!" He pushed his hands thru the railing and clasped them in front of his chest. " I would do anything to get to see it!" He sounded like a little kid whos mom told him he couldnt stay up to watch a late night movie. Me and Gabriel looked at each other before we both laughed and headed toward the kitchen to get him some food.
